Introducing Dr. Scott Irwin: Bridging Holistic Healing and Ancient Wisdom
Dr. Scott Irwin, Ph.D. Psychedelic Integration Psychologist, Functional Medicine Practitioner, and Advocate for Holistic Healing - Retreat Organizer

Introduction: Dr. Scott Irwin possesses an extensive and distinctive background at the crossroads of Transpersonal Psychology, Functional Medicine, and Ancient Amazonian Plant Medicine. With an unwavering dedication to the betterment of others, he has emerged as a beacon of guidance for those seeking deep personal transformation. Through his multidisciplinary approach and 1:1 therapeutic integration sessions, Dr. Scott is committed to facilitating profound personal psycho-spiritual transformations for his clients.

Professional Journey: With over two decades of experience as a Public Health Professional, Dr. Scott Irwin's impact has touched the lives of more than 25,000 patients. His mission is to catalyze profound change, helping individuals unearth their potential for growth and healing. As a seasoned Psychedelic Integration Psychologist and practitioner of Functional Medicine, he amalgamates Complementary & Alternative Medicine with Transpersonal Psychology to provide holistic care that encompasses the entire being.

Influences and Expertise: Dr. Scott's journey has been influenced by visionaries such as Stanislav Grof, the Czech psychiatrist and founder of Holotropic Breathwork™, who pioneered research into harnessing non-ordinary states of consciousness for healing and insight. Dr. Scott's therapeutic approach harmoniously blends Transpersonal Psychology, Psychedelic Integration, breathwork in the style of Holotropic practices, and the sacred wisdom of ancestral plant medicine like Ayahuasca.

Championing Indigenous Communities: Dr. Scott Irwin is a fervent advocate for the Indigenous Kichwa Community residing within Sacha Wasi, nestled in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest. His support has catalyzed transformative changes, including establishing the "Sacha Wasi Heritage Foundation" to preserve indigenous heritage and culture, and the "Sacha Wasi Tribal Learning Center." This visionary endeavor, introduced in February 2022, empowers children and adults from Sacha Wasi and neighboring tribes with an educational curriculum encompassing Kichwa, English, Spanish, geography, art, music and computer literacy. Under Dr. Scott's guidance, over 15 laptop computers have been donated, opening windows of opportunity for these future custodians of the Amazon.

Pioneering the Jungle Medical Clinic: Dr. Scott's dedication to holistic health manifested in the creation of the Jungle Medical Clinic within the Sacha Wasi community. Recognizing the gap in mainstream health services that often fail to meet the needs of indigenous communities, he sought to bridge this gap with a transformative solution. The clinic houses a dedicated team of qualified and experienced general practitioners, medical staff, allied health professionals, and indigenous healers. Together, they are committed to providing quality medical care to guests and families at Sacha Wasi. This initiative ensures that they receive the care they need and deserve, forging a path toward inclusive healthcare and eradicating marginalization.

Contributions to Psychedelic Integration: In his role as Former Senior Minister, Staff Psychologist, and Ayahuasca Facilitator at the Soul Quest Ayahuasca Church of Mother Earth, Dr. Scott orchestrated pre- and post-ceremony programs that encompassed a diverse range of integration-style groups. These groups offered support in areas such as psycho-spiritual integration, Zen Buddhist Meditation, recovery from substance misuse, spiritual studies, and personal growth.

Academic Achievements and Contributions: Dr. Scott's academic credentials include a Doctor of Science Ph.D in Transpersonal Psychology & Complementary and Alternative Medical Therapies. His expertise led him to serve as Program Director for the UM/Keys AHEC Tobacco Cessation Program, and he remains a vital figure in international tobacco treatment standards as National Chairman of the Membership Committee for the Association for the Treatment of Tobacco Use and Dependence (ATTUD).

Empowering Holistic Healing: Dr. Scott Irwin's journey has been one of advocacy, education, and profound transformation. His dedication to fostering change through personalized therapeutic journeys, combined with his unwavering commitment to holistic wellness, positions him as a respected expert in the field. With a strong foundation in both ancient wisdom and contemporary medical practices, he continues to be a catalyst for profound change in the lives of those he guides.

I did the 21 day dieta at Sacha Wasi. I loved every minute of it, it is a very special place with the most loving people. Dr Scott is awesome and integration with him really helped make sense of the medicine. The kichwa people really care about the medicine and sharing it with us. The food was great.

I'm crying from gratefulness
I had a really powerful healing experience with only one ceremony. There hasn't been a day I can go without painkillers due to chronic pain until now. In so grateful to the medicine, Pachamama, Mama Marlene, Jesus, Dr. Scott and all the other Yachaks that made this possible. I haven't felt this good since I was a kid. Thank you for your care and kindness, I can't wait to return with my family soon. Blessings to you all hermanas y hermanos ❤️ Estoy tan feliz de haber tenido esta experiencia.

Great experience!
Thanks so much to Dr. Scott and the Sacha Wasi tribe for welcoming me into your space. I did the 3 day, 2 night retreat during my April visit to Ecuador. The accomodations were basic and clean, but in my opinion, perfect for the purpose. I'd never done Ayahuasca but Dr. Scott put me at ease and prepared me for a positive expierience. I had the opportunity to meet before and after the ceremony to prepare and unpack and review my intentions. The tribe members were extremely welcoming, kind and friendly. I also loved the work being done here to help create a sustainable future with farming and medical facilities. Keep up the good work. Thank you so much for sharing your medicine and your culture. I am truly grateful and would recommend that everybody visit and support this centre. Kindly, Linda (Canada).
