Join us for Ananda’s Inaugural Sacred Plant Medicine Mini Retreat. Come be a part of the magic, the medicine, and the intimacy that Ananda Lodge Healing Center has to offer. Reserved only for a max of 15 guests, we make this special experience available to you as an offering to our sacred land. 

Designed for intimacy and deep-level healing, this Ananda Lodge retreat will be like NONE OTHER. Join us in an experience of gratitude where we will celebrate opening the sacred healing container of Ananda with the Colombian medicine of Yage.

For this inaugural event, we welcome Taita Javier Alfonso Lucitante from the Putumayo region of Colombia. Taita Javier is a traditional doctor, revered medicine man, and master herbalist. Along with his team, Taita represents a long lineage of powerful Colombian Taitas and healers, known for their deep love of people and bringing healing to the planet. Beginning to drink Yage at birth, Taita Javier is a teacher and ally to the plants. Through his dedication to this path, he offers us these beautiful blessings to support our individual path of healing and happiness.

In this intimate container, we will offer 2 medicine ceremonies, along with a unique opportunity to participate in a workshop and intimate dinner with Taita Javier and team. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to meet personally with the Taita to receive 1:1 healing and herbal protocol recommendations. 

At Ananda we believe in intimacy, sacred connection, and providing our guests with a container to experience deep-level healing in safety. As such, we are limiting participation to a max of 15 guests. Guests will have an opportunity to be immersed in the healing power of Yage, while resting in the eco-luxury accommodations at Ananda. Accommodations can be booked as single or double, with the option of ocean or jungle views.

THE EXPIERENCE

For this sacred occasion, we will conduct two healing ceremonies symbolizing the dualities of life, encompassing both the bitter and the sweet. Additionally, there is an opportunity to arrive a day early for a unique medicine workshop, followed by a dinner and storytelling session with the Taita and our team. For those interested, one-on-one healing sessions with the Taita are available for an additional fee.

The yage ceremony commences around 8pm, with a two-hour word circle. This circle serves to delve into the individual processes of each participant, providing clarity and insight into the upcoming experience they will undertake.

Around 10pm, we will take the sacred medicine. Once consumed, a period of silence ensues, lasting at least a couple of hours. Participants are free to take the medicine as many times as they feel necessary. Subsequently, music medicine will be provided throughout the night, guided by the musician and the Taita. Expect uplifting jungle rhythms infused with the appropriate energies and vibrations. The flow of silence and music will be directed by the Taita.

Starting at 3am, the Taita conducts special healings tailored to the individual cases discussed during the conversation. Around 6:00 am, a collective energetic cleansing is administered to all participants. Following this, we gather around the fire to share and discuss our experiences, accompanied by music. Finally, around 8 am, participants are invited to rest and integrate their journey.

During the ceremony we use various sacred tools, plants in liquor and natural perfumes, in order to harmonize the energy.
