Yoga Maya

Yoga Maya offers YTT's 200 and AYTT-300's several times a year in the lovely seaside town of Sayulita, Mexico.

Yoga Teacher Training Course in Mexico. Yoga Maya is Sayulita's Oldest and Most accredited Yoga School, our Lead Trainer has the Advanced Yoga Teacher Certification ERYT-200 and 500. We are a Yoga Alliance Certified School (RYS-200 and 300 course).

Our main focus is Vinyasa and it's creative sequencing. This will help you to become a the best teacher you can be. Students polled prefer a teacher who is creative with their flow. You will also learn how to teach Yin and a bit of Hatha.

Second focus is how the asanas affect the body via anatomy + physiology.

Our third is to enjoy yoga and have a good time learning. If you have never taken a course where the learning was fun, you are in for a good time. All learning can be fun and we like to have fun. It's a win-win situation.

The tranquil center has a lovely garden and smoothie bar on site; you can book a very nice room with a kitchen and stay onsite the entire time. We are two blocks from the beach in a quiet section of Sayulita.

Sayulita is just north of Vallarta and easy to get to. Last year Sayulita was named a "Pueblo Magico" and you will so enjoy the Bohemian layed back feel of this wonderful town. Join in the fun. Share your love of yoga.

Yoga Maya's website has many pictures and much more information, please review all of the pages on our website. We want you to feel comfortable with your decision on this venture. So let us set up a "Skype date" if you will, and chat about it. www.iloveyogamaya.com.  The cost is 2400 USD wich does not include room nor board.

Vinyasa is our main focus. We teach in a rather traditional style that can accomodate the most advanced practitioner to someone's first class. The whole while making sure everyone is safe in their movement and having fun.

Yin is a much cooler practice, and we also teach this. Yin is a massive benefit for all people, all levels. Even if you have never taken a yin class, you will be fine taking our YTT. Some of our students have jobs teaching yoga BASED on the fact that they teach YIN. Many teahcers don't teach it. It's a great injustice to the yoga world. What a complete yoga teacher you will be having taken a course that teaches both Vinyasa and Yin.

Hatha we teach also, but it is not our main focus. All Vinyasa poses are Hatha poses. Vinyasa sprang from Hatha. They are very similar. We will go over the similariteis and the differences during the YTT.

Our course has many different aspects that we feel are very important in the making of a GREAT yoga teacher. The ability to understand injuries and the student. Prop usage will be reviewed. It is valuable to many a student. Mudra, Mantra and Pranayama are key to many traditional yoga classes and we teach many variations at Yoga Maya. Yoga Nidra and the Chakra system are part of our trainings. Again: so much to go over so please review our website for more information.

A Yoga Maya trained teacher will be able to teach yoga to all levels of students. We look forward to having you join us and look forward to hearing about your journey afterwards as you share your love of yoga with your students. Passing on your teachings. We will always be available after the course to answer any questions you may have.

We do not overcrowd our trainings. You will not get lost here. Individual attention is key. No more than 10-12 students are permited to take the course each session. This will give us all plenty of space and ensure your training is focused on you.

After successful completion of the course you may register with the Yoga Alliance if you wish. It is not a requirement. We do require that you attend all training sessions and participate as much as you can.

Thank you again for your time and consideration. We hope to see you soon.
