The Casa de Mamahampi Healing House is devoted to the collective healing of Mother Earth and humanity. In the Quechua language, "Mamahampi" signifies Medicine of the Mother or Mother Earth Medicine. Through our retreats we aim to help our guests awaken to their fullest potential by expanding their consciousness and healing their bodies, minds & spirits. We also focus on raising the awareness in the preservation of shamanic traditions and the Amazon Rainforest. We are dedicated here at the center in helping those individuals seeking life transformative change and growth.
We work with Madre Ayahuasca in ceremonies led by local Mestizo Curandero Juan Llerena Chavez. We also create sacred space for work with Cacao, Rape (Hapeh), Tobacco and Sapo.
Activities:- Guided Meditations- Medicine Bowl Sound Therapy- Art Therapy- Massage- Floral Baths- Visionary Painting Workshops- Heart Circles- Local Excursions- Nature walks- Relaxing in a hammock
Our preference for this work is to have smaller groups, no larger than 4 guests, for a more intimate and personal setting during ceremonies. Our Healing House is very spacious, providing a comfortable environment for the profound ceremony experiences. The house is situated in the midst of beautiful native plants and trees where natures orchestra graciously joins us in our sacred ceremonies.
"I don’t know that I would have made my trip to Peru to work with plant medicines if not for Mamahampi. I am so grateful for all the assistance I got which gave me the confidence to go. Rhonda made the journey so accessible from greeting me and my companion at the airport, to arranging overnight accommodations and escorting us to the remote retreat center. Also invaluable was helping us know how to prepare ourselves for the experience and supporting us during our time there. I’m so grateful for everything that she did to make our experience an exceptional one."

"My powerful experience in the jungle was greatly enhanced by Mamahampi's guidance. They provided information beforehand that helped make the most of the experience. Getting a sense of what to expect and how to prepare made it feel more safe and comfortable. In addition the organization of travel didn’t take out the adventure, but just made it fun and smooth. Rhonda cared for us during the process in an unobtrusive way, but was there when we needed as in tarantuala removal or other facilitations. Thank you for making this accessible for us."

"As a guide, Rhonda holds the perfect balance between giving enough information on the experience ahead and allowing for the personal journey to unfold without preconceived notions. I ended up needing her healing skills after an evening encounter with numerous insects and felt I could trust her completely."

I had a wonderful time in Casa de Mamahampi. When Rhonda opened the big portal of the wall that surrounds the resort of Casa de Mamahampi, I was speechless, it was entering another world, nice maintained grass fields, beautiful ancient trees, three horses grazing on the grass. I could see in the distance grayish mountains half hidden in misty clouds. It was amazing! The staff of volunteers was also very friendly and dedicated people, that have a good eye for details, making sure that every visitor has the best experience possible. We were with two guests, so obviously we got all the attention from Rhonda, the founder of Casa de Mamahampi and Paolo, which is a very accessible shaman. Talking about his experiences taught me a lot! Erika the other guest was a friendly young woman, and we had a nice connexion, going through the same experience together made us bond, although we knew each other only a few days. Before this ceremony, I had been drinking ayahuasca 4 times. I really enjoyed the 5th experience! It gave me so much insight of several topics of my life. I felt protected by the energy of the shaman and the sweet presence of Rhonda. So all by all an incredible experience that I really recommend!
