Sachamama Ethnobotanical Garden
- Tamanco, Peru
All year round we organize shamanic journeys to Francisco’s native village of Tamanco, which is located half way between Iquitos and Pucallpa. The goal of these journeys is to share the shamanic tradition still alive in this faraway place and offer the participants the possibility of engaging in shamanic and spiritual work through plant diets.
Our final destination is by the Triumph’s Lagoon, about an hour from Tamanco. It is an enchanted location, ripe with legends and myths, where the diets will actually take place.
Itinerary: Four ceremonies of Ayahuasca, the diet of one plant as well as 3 ceremonies of perfume are offered. Meetings with ancient traditional healers will be organized in the neighbourhood during the stay.
Departure time is on Monday morning from Iquitos in collective boat, to arrive on Wednesday morning at our workplace in Tamanco.
We recommend for the good unfolding of your stay that you arrive one day before the beginning of the program and that you keep one day off after the end of the program.
Lodging and conditions: by the lagoon there is one large house as well as 12 individual cottages where the participants can be in relative seclusion during the diet process.
Travel cost is 1500$. The cost includes the boat transfer Iquitos-Tamanco-Iquitos, lodging and all activities in Tamanco.
