Long Term Retreat / Sabbatical

Anyone wishing to stay 21 nights or longer, in peace & quiet with beautiful nature, is welcome to apply. Long term retreats are perfect for people wanting a sabbatical, looking for renewal, wanting time to reinvent themselves and come closer to their hearts.  These retreats are perfect for contemplatives of all traditions, writers, professionals, or students.

Extended retreats are a special opportunity to nurture ourselves in an outer quiet which touches inner stillness. Awareness can be profoundly freed and lightened from old patterns. There is an opportunity to deepen and enrich meditative practice, finding simple joys, and an inner peace which can become a foundation for the rest of our lives.

There is meditation twice a day and weekly check- in for retreat guidance. Additional consultation can be arranged with Bruce or Ruth Davis.  You have all day access to a shared kitchen & dining, living room with fireplace, on site laundry, all utilities including climate control, salt water pool & hot tub, plus 25 acres on a gated estate.

For Long Term Guests we also provide:

  • Weekly Room Cleaning
  • Washer/Dryer available at no extra cost

What makes extended retreats unique at Silent Stay is that in addition to providing a daily program of meditation and meditative movement, we offer lots of free time.  You will have an opportunity to find your own daily structure which is a freeing, liberating experience.  With as much guidance or little as you wish, making a daily life of nature, meditation, exercise, reading, writing, creating a life of more heart makes for a successful retreat. Discovering the simple joys in retreat makes for a new life of more truth, wholeness, and creativity.
