Deep Listening is an advanced professional training which enables participants to truly listen to another person with mindfulness and presence and to open deeper channels of hearing within themselves.
We often only listen intellectually to spoken words. However, through awareness we can hear and respond to all that is being communicated, including the subtle and unspoken.
Developing presence and awareness helps us to let go of the effort of ‘trying’ to listen or to make the right response, allowing us to listen more naturally with greater wisdom, understanding and empathy. This benefits the listener in helping us to stay focused on what is immediately experienced in the here and now and in creating a listening relationship where the speaker can be fully validated and deeply heard.
Deep Listening draws on the person-centred framework of humanistic psychology and combines this with profound understandings of meditation and compassion from the Buddhist tradition.
Thank you sincerely. This was the most helpful course I have ever done. (Deborah)
Suitable for all those who use the skill of listening in their work. Participants are expected to have already trained in basic listening skills as these will not be covered in the course.
This is an experiential training and numbers are limited. Places are in high demand so immediate booking is advised.
