Yoga Detox at Portal Atlante is a 3 day retreat that uses the practice of Hatha Yoga.
Going far beyond the mere instruction on physical postures -asanas-, the course will guide you through: the activation of energy centers -chakras- within your body, the incorporation of breathing -pranayama- techniques, the practice of meditation.
The practice and knowledge given in the retreat will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthen your physical body, improve your willpower and self-confidence, create healthy new habits, and find emotional balance and inner harmony.
The course is designed for everyone regardless of age, physical ability, or previous experience with Yoga. The pace of the course allows those new to Yoga to easily follow the teachings.
Hatha yoga is a branch of yoga that emphasizes physical exercises to master the body along with mind exercises to withdraw it from external objects. The word haṭha literally means "force" in Sanskrit, and may have this association because the early Indians believed that its practice was challenging and "forced its results to happen" on the yogi. The term "Hatha yoga" connotes a system of supplementary physical techniques within the broader concept of Yoga.

The idea is showing all participants of the retrat that people with a Western mindset, can get the rare opportunity to practice forgotten, sacred teachings from the East. there should be a bridge between spirituality and rational thinking, and classes are taught in a modern and easy-to-understand format.
The teachings are easy to implement in daily life and our goal is to guide students to develop a personal daily Yoga practice, achieve new goals and become better versions of themselves.
