Learn to paint flowers with spontaneity and expression in the beautiful setting of a Tuscan country villa, under the instruction of artist Carmelo Blandino. Carmelo is known internationally for his striking and luscious floral paintings, and this workshop provides an opportunity to learn his approach. The workshop will teach students how to paint from various still life bouquets, exploring elements of color, depth, and composition. You will work in acrylics for the quickness of the drying time, which increases your momentum and inspires spontaneous responses to the subject.
The instruction will be oriented towards encouraging you to let out a more creative, expressive approach to still life painting. Rather than working in a realist manner, the idea is to work from your personal, intuitive sense. Working in a large format, you will explore your own personal response to the subject, while experimenting with vibrant colour combinations. In this workshop you will learn how to paint with spontaneity and joy to create beautiful paintings.
