Dirt has gotten a bad rap.  People talk about “dirty words”; “soiling oneself” is pejorative.  But dirt and soil are the skin of our world and the very makeup of our own bodies.

Join us for an afternoon of down-and-dirty dialogue between Professor David Montgomery and Abode Farmer Evan Thaler-Null as well as local farmers.  Hear the implications of dirt in theory and in practice.  Delve beneath your own feet for a theor-pragmatic approach to earth, soil, and the socio-cultural implications of dirt.

The schedule of events are:

2:30-3:45pm Presentation by David Montgomery

3:45-4pm Snack Break and Book Signing

4-5:15pm Dialogue and Panel with Q&A

5:15-6pm – Tour of Abode Farm

6-7pm – Farm-to-table Dinner and Book Signing

David Montgomery will also have his books available for purchase and for signing.

Free Retreat Givewaway

We love you. And because we do, we're giving away another free retreat.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To reconnect with my inner self, found ground through the movement of my body and breath. Awake. Jane

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
