200 HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
GOA, INDIA

JANUARY 21 – FEBRUARY 16, 2018

The study of asana is not about mastering the postures. It is about using the postures to understand & transform yourself.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Teacher Training offers a holistically integrated style of training. A blended asana style of traditional Hatha yoga, interwoven with the modern flow of vinyasa and yin. Other subject offerings include pranayama, mantra, meditation, philosophy, physical and subtle anatomy, nada yoga (yoga of sound) yoga nidra, ( yoga sleep) nutrition, ceremony, ample teaching practice time and consciously connected breath sessions.

Expand your understanding of asana and beyond, as you build and/or deepen your personal practice, awaken new perspectives and boost your confidence to teach yoga with a solid foundation.

Our teachers share a collective passion for living and transmitting the teachings of yoga, reflected from their experiences, practice and ongoing study. The foundation of each training or retreat is offered from their heart. It is in this higher vibrational resonance that cultivates authenticity and promotes sacred space.

We are more concerned with the flexibility and presence of your mind that of your physical body. With regular asana practice, one automatically becomes flexible. Being present to each moment is a completely different story and presence for all.

Our beautiful location is North Goa, a tranquil seaside village, situated alongside the Indian Ocean. Each day your soul will be fed by the sea breeze which will caress your skin and through each breath in the nourishing elements of nature.

Warning –This training will change your life forever. Your heart will open and you could feel waves of inspiration that nourishes your soul.

NADA YOGA (YOGA OF SOUND)

Nada is a Sanskrit word that means sound. Though the practice of Nada Yoga is not one specific practice, it covers a wide range of practical exercises. Some practices include vocal play, singing, sounding the Indian scales and mantras. Part of Nada Yoga is learning to fine-tune your ability to listen to audible and inaudible sounds, which is an aspect of subtle vibration. With regular practice of Nada Yoga the aspect of Pratyahara (with drawl of senses) arises which promotes deeper meditation and heart felt awakenings.

BENEFITS OF NADA YOGA

The practice of Nada Yoga assists us to become more aware through the aspect of listening, initially externally and eventually internally. When we cultivate a deeper awareness to conscious listening, our inner chatter slowly starts to dissolve which promotes inner peace. It is in a peaceful mind where joy and contentment naturally arise.

Sound is intimately connected with our breath, as both aspects are used to bring us into the present moment.

Transforms stuck emotions

Releases endorphins (the brain’s “feel good” chemicals)

Sounding the musical scale helps to move inner pranic energy that increases your energy

Builds your confidence to express and communicate more freely

Creates new neurological networks in the brain and expands your consciousness.

Improves communication

Strengthens your teaching voice

Allows for deeper meditations

“Feeling Soul Good was an amazing experience! It was way over my expectations. I had no idea I was going to learn so much about not only yoga and the fundamentals but also about myself. I am truly grateful for Sequoia and her team, Pablo and Shir, they all were very committed, knowledgeable and supportive. Thank you for the bottom of my heart.” Birgitta USA, Hairdresser

I am forever grateful to have met Sequoia. She has such incredible knowledge, teachings, and energy. Sequoia was one of my teachers on a one-month yoga teacher training course in India, and from the very first pranayama class we had with her, I felt I had encountered a very unique and powerful teacher. During my time in India I was lucky to experience Sequoia’s yoga classes, sound healings, and ceremonies. Her understanding and insight into yoga and spiritual exploration are matched by her passion for sharing them with others. And her sense of humour is infectious! I have not stopped telling people about the “things I learned from Sequoia”, and I look forward to the day I can see this incredible teacher again.     Amy, Australia, Mother.

“I have learnt so much, mainly I have learnt how to listen to my self, I loved everything I have learnt as there is really so much content covered” Amy Doctor From New Zealand
