About us

This retreat lead by Acharya Richard John is for all Shambhala tantrikas, those who have attended Sacred World Assembly or Vajradhatu Vajrayana Seminary. Participants will be able to practice Werma Sadhana or Rigden Ngondro and meet group practice requirements. There will be also be a teaching for Scorpion Seal practitioners.

The morning session each day will be a suchness meditation, using pith instructions from the Mahamudra and Dzokchen. Each afternoon the Acharya will give a talk based on the teachings of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche in his remarkable book, Shambhala Dzokchen (you are encouraged to bring the Shambhala Dzokchen book).

There will opportunities for conversation and questions, and we will conclude with a Shambhala Sadhana feast on the evening of Tuesday Febuary 20th. Departure day for this program is Wednesday February 21st after breakfast.

Special Note:

Tantrikas, add an extra day of practice by participating in the Shambhala Sadhana Retreat on Saturday 17th. You may either join the Shambhala Sadhana teachings or practice your own current Werma Sadhana or Rigden Ngondro practices in a group setting.

You are welcome to arrive on the evening of Friday Feb 16th to attend the Shambhala Sadhana Retreat on the 17th. Please email us to let us know if you would like to join us for an extra day for the cost of room and board: programs@sky-lake.org.
