Filled with questions about life and what direction he was headed in, at a young age Leonel began studying the traditions of Rastafari, Buddhism, Hinduism and Zen. Fascinated with the music of Bob Marley & The Wailers, and the Rastafari elders’ talk of spirituality, Leonel pursued his self studies of these four traditions. This spiritual journey led him to the studies and practices of Yoga.
Years later, Leonel heard about a teacher named Shakti Mhi, and after learning about her teachings, he went on to complete a 200 hour teacher training program on Classical Hatha Yoga at Prana Yoga College. Leonel invites you to explore beyond the physical, through a flow of asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises). Similar to the changes and growth in a tree, he is also continuously expanding his awareness about the teachings of Yoga and the amazing connections of the mind-body relationship. His passion for Yoga extends to his love for shamanic practices, exercising, dancing, sports, and nature. He welcomes you to participate in the physical practice of Hatha Yoga, as well as the daily practice of Yoga off the mat, to see how it becomes a part of your everyday experience.
