Who am I? I could begin by telling you where I have been and who I have taught but ultimately I am just like you… doin’ my best as a friend, daughter, sister, yoga teacher, writer and full-time co-creator since 1976 (Old?Young? I officially don’t give a rat’s ass about age anymore, it’s silly isn’t it?). One of the most important things to know is that I come from a blessed upbringing with schoolteacher parents who instilled values in me and a natural love for pedagogy before yoga ever did! They worked hard, loved me harder, made a difference in thousands of kid’s lives and moulded who I am today as a teacher and student. Thanks first and foremost to my mom and dad who were my first teachers and artists in life. Other than that, fill in all the human stuff in between: sunrises, sunsets, joy, sadness, gratitude, aloneness, togetherness, wild friendships, love, lovers, family, travel, adventures, speed, slowness, exhilaration and frustration. The landscape of life has colored me in as many ways as it has you. A deluge of gratitude to my teachers and friends Patrick Creelman, Kristin Campell, Paul Dallaghan, the teachers of Pure Yoga Hong Kong (2005-2008) Ana Forrest and all my students since 2003.
