Alex Alexander

Alex is the founder of Aylione Courageous Hearted Living and Goddess In Paradise Sacred Adventure Retreats. She brings the wisdom of many modalities in assisting her clients in creating real change in their lives where they feel less stress, more abundance, more joy and experience vastly improved and more passionate relationships. Her heart and joy lies in helping women feel more pleasure and joy in all aspects of their lives through deeply connecting with their inner spiritual, energetic wisdom and body wisdom. When a woman follows her pleasure and steps into her full turned on, lit up self, magic happens with every step she takes. Alex is a certified energy healer, a Hakomi practitioner, a shamanic practitioner, a Qoya teacher, and a certified level II teacher of the Art of Feminine Presence. She is a mom of two beautiful daughters, loves to cook, loves animals and the natural world, loves to travel, and has a passion for creating sacred space and experiences where the Divine is invited in and deep healing can occur.

Qoya is a movement practice that I can fully embody and embrace because it is the first practice where I felt I really could move the way I wanted to move. In so many movement classes, I would unconsciously push myself to do what I was being led to do, which was not always the best thing for my body. I would invariably injure myself and have to take a break before returning. Eventually I stopped taking any movement practices, afraid of re-injury. That is until Qoya came along. I love the premise that There is no right way to do it. If it feels good, you are doing it right.

My favorite part of Qoya right now is circling. I change up the music a lot, so I can’t really say what is my favorite music to dance to right now, however I lean towards slower more sensual music and movement. I try to do Qoya as often as I can. My intention would be a daily practice, but that doesn’t usually happen, so I do what I can.

Qoya is loving gentle movement, it’s fun energetic dance, it’s sensual, it’s deep personal connection to self, it’s transformation.
