Annette Johnson

Annette is in transition, taking the cloak of corporate America off long enough to study music and songwriting and taking a creative approach to business consulting through her startup, Creativethinkings. Through both music and business, she hopes to shed light on the divine living through lighting the truth revealed in her heart. Qoya became a way for me to bolster my intuition and maintain connection to my own emotional guidance in the face of the ever-present temptation to cave my desires and stress over pleasing the fleeting opinions of people in places of perceived power.

Teaching Qoya means Dancing with the intention to honor my divine nature, listen to my wisdom, cut loose of old expectation, and free myself to experience myself has been a dependable vehicle for transformation. Teaching Qoya has been an important opportunity to develop leadership skills from the source of my own heart-power vs the practicing the leadership skills I learned in business

school and in the workplace. It is something that I can come to with a great sense of authenticity and honor. It’s a sacred space to learn in.

Approach what feels good with wild abandon. Don’t be afraid to jump if everyone else is lying down or to rest when the direction is to dance big. The instructions are meant for you to connect with your own body. So if to you, “Get Small!” means “diminish the voices in your head telling you you can’t dance,” then “Get Small” for you, might look like arms waving in circles like a wild tumbleweed dancing on the wind!!!
