I first experienced the transformation that meditation brings to life while working in the corporate world, and I can help you to experience that same transformation.
Julie, founder of Nature Meditations, is an accredited meditation teacher (Complementary Medical Association). Julie has extensive training in both traditional and modern meditation methods and has practised all over the world, including Nepal, India, Thailand, Canada, Italy and the UK. She has a comprehensive background in Meditation techniques including Anapanasiti, Shamatha, Vipassana, Mindfulness and Chakra meditations. In May she attended a Retreat at the Holy Isle in Scotland lead by Alan Wallace. Under Alan’s guidance she experienced some of her most profound insight and deep meditation. She has helped over 1300 people discover meditation, and with over 20-years corporate management experience, she understands the stresses of living a fast-paced lifestyle in a busy city.

Now, I teach Success Through Stillness – a unique and simple system based on the 5 concepts of meditation, that will help you realise success in all areas of your life including your relationships, health, sleep, career, prosperity and much more.
‘Success Through Stillness’ is a blend of both traditional and modern meditation methods. I have trained in various meditation methods including Vipassana, Mindfulness, Shamatha, Visualisation techniques, Chakra meditations and Dzogchen. I have learned and practised the eastern philosophy of mediation all over the world, including Nepal, India, Thailand, Canada, Italy and the UK. My main teacher, Alan Wallace, is very highly regarded in his field.

Like so many of us, I lead a busy and stressful life. I still clearly remember leaving the first class I attended with Julie - I didn't think it was possible to achieve such a level of calm from meditating. I leapt at the opportunity to go with Julie for a weekend retreat in Dorset. I was stressed - getting out of the office to even get there seemed a mammoth task, and was anxious at what the weekend had in store! Instantly on arrival, Julie put me at ease, and the beautiful location was perfect for such a retreat. As we commenced on Friday evening, I could slowly feel the stress depart and clarity return. Over the next two days, I was amazed at the impact of the meditations. Overall, the sense of calmness, and perspective returned and stayed with me for some time. Importantly though, I realised I was the one in charge of my own life and health, and meditating could only be a great thing that would improve it. What I particularly enjoyed is that all the participants could move along at their own pace, and there was no pressure put on you. Julie has been a wonderful teacher to me, understanding my concerns and needs (now I realise my concerns about meditating are often the same as everyone else's!). She is great at explaining the concepts, and practice, and importantly is completely non-judgmental. With her background in the corporate world, she has lived the life that many of us find so stressful. Her caring nature is much appreciated by her students, as is her wonderful sense of humour. I know that each time I see Julie I will learn something new, and be grateful I started on this journey with her. Rating 10/10 – Jane Atkins

I finished work on Friday afternoon feeling anxious and stressed, extremely ready for, looking forward to, and yet a tiny bit apprehensive of the weekend ahead. Arriving at the retreat location in Dorset, I immediately felt a sense of peace. As the weekend progressed I began to feel so much more relaxed and happy and by Sunday afternoon I felt like a different person. I hadn’t realised quite how tense I had been and I left with a feeling of tranquility that lasted into my working week. I would recommend one of Julie’s meditation retreats to anyone who needs time to themselves and wants to restore balance and a feeling of calm into their lives. Rating 10/10 - Emma Hawkins
