Melissa-Jane (MJ) Shaw

MJ has been teaching everything dance & fitness related for almost 20 years. Yoga came to her 17 years ago as a form of additional training for dancers, but evolved into much more: an integral part of her lifestyle and teaching approach. MJ began teaching yoga in 2003 and teaches at several private clubs in Toronto, at her in-house studio and on her retreats. She has presented at canfitpro, Idea City and has been featured as a guest instructor on the Dr.OZ Show, Steven & Chris Show (CBC), Much Music, MTV, Discovery Network and many more, inspiring people to improve their lifestyle through physical and spiritual fitness. You can also see MJ in dozens of Flirty Girl Fitness DVDs busting her Booty Beat choreography! She is a Master Trainer for Lebert Training Systems (LeBarre, LeHIIT & LeBoot) and teaches a variety of fitness, yoga and dance classes to balance it all out. She believes the collective energy of a group of people coming together to better themselves is inspiring and transformative. She's thrilled to help navigate this journey as your retreat host and will lead you with encouragement, knowledge and positivity. Certifications: Yoga Alliance, ACE, AFAA, canfitpro, Tabata, Keiser... and more.
