Yazdan Raees

Yazdan was introduced to Transcendental Meditation by his parents. At the age of 17, he left Iran for India where he received a B.A, learned Sudarshan Kriya as taught by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and started his Yoga Asana practice with master Akshar. After five years he left for Turkey were he studied Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga with David Cornwell (Advayta School), in Cihangir Yoga and has been trained in Breathing, Somatic, Mindfulness and Compassion Meditation.

Yazdan sat and served many Vipassana meditation courses as taught by S.N. Goenka in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin in India, Iran, Nepal, Lumbini (the birth place of the Buddha) and in Canada. He practiced intuitive techniques of everlasting wisdom in the Companions of Ariya institute and studied about Hekmat-e-Khosravani, Tao and Zen under the supervision of his philosophy teacher Mohammad Ahyaee.

Yazdan is practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa Krama system in the tradition of T.Krishnamacharya and SHRI K. Pattabhi Jois. His practice started with Ken the Rolfer in Istanbul and improved a lot with Mark Darby, Shankara Darby and Ron Reid in Toronto. He studies Pariyatti with Bhante Debongshi at Dhammanjali Center, practices Taoist Tai Chi and enjoys learning Chung Wah Kung Fu International System.

Yazdan learned Osteopathic Manual Therapy at National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto where he had the privilege to study with the most innovative and prominent Osteopaths. He is a member of the Society of Osteopaths of Canada and continues to update his skills through National University of Medical Sciences in Spain.
