Lives In: Wherever I hang my hat…

Favorite Pose: Paschimottanasana

Favorite Food: Pizza… any kind, any where in the world!

Best thing about teaching: Learning from and connecting to my students, along with being able to introduce people to the transformational practice that has changed my life!

Ashley Davis has been dedicated to her practice since discovering yoga in 2001.  After years of dreaming about becoming a yoga instructor, in 2013 Ashley pursued her RYT-200 through School Yoga Institute’s Fiji program, studying under Bryan Russell, Anjili Russell & Anita Sundaram.

Born and raised in rural Illinois Ashley is proud of her Midwestern roots.  However, at a young age she quickly discovered she was meant to travel the world.  Ashley worked as a professional Radio Personality through and after her college career, taking her to the mountains of North Carolina.  When she decided to leave her career in the fast paced world of radio, she moved to Maui, Hawaii, where she began to get deeper into her yoga practice, and spent most of her time surfing.  After a few years in Hawaii, Ashley decided it was time to pursue her dream of becoming a yoga instructor.

The last couple of years Davis as spent her time traveling the globe, teaching yoga, experiencing everything that life has to offer. She is also a surf instructor, an avid slackliner and enjoys acro yoga, hiking and skydiving.  She is a freelance music, food and travel blogger, and professional voice over artist.  As a former radio personality, where she earned her nickname “Bad Ash”, Ashley acquired quite the repertoire of music, which she enjoys using to make eclectic playlists to add to the energy of her classes.

Yoga’s transformative power inspires Ashley through mind, body and soul, and she believes it should be nurtured. Focusing on body awareness, a steady connection to breath and alignment, she strives to bring fun and love in her uplifting classes. Inspired to continually learn and share the wonderful gift of yoga with others, her classes combine elements of her own practice with influence from Hatha, Ashtanga, Bikrim, and Power Yoga to create a dynamic and exciting alignment-based flow.  Check out her web-site & find “Bad Ash” on Facebook.

Currently, Ashley lives in Keene, NH continuing her training with Anjili Russell and Bryan Russell to facilitate for Sadhana Yoga School.  While in training, she also teaches yoga classes, workshops and in 2015 hosted her first yoga retreat in Costa Rica.

Free Retreat Givewaway

We love you. And because we do, we're giving away another free retreat.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

This sounds like a dream! I am an education student and I have spent way too much time working all summer to pay for school. My boyfriend of 5 years is a government firefighter and has been away working most of the summer. His 30th Birthday and our 6th anniversary is coming up this winter, we would love to celebrate with a yoga retreat! We both love yoga but have barley had time to practice in the past few months. Keeping our fingers crossed! Jaimee and Dan
