Rohan Tahiliani

I am originally from Mumbai, India, where I was raised and completed my Computer Engineering degree. I then attended Georgia Tech in USA, where I received a Master's degree in Information Security. Being hired as a Software Developer at Amazon.com, and being promoted relatively early, I had the so-called perfect life. I had a dream job, flexible working hours, and I was living in a splendid lake-facing apartment in Seattle, a delightful quirky city.

I had no reason to complain on the surface, I got everything I wanted materially, and yet it felt like there was something missing, something which I could not name. I was suddenly confronted with a deep spiritual crisis, of which I had no knowledge at the time. I was completely apathetic to spirituality and religion. What followed was a deep and transforming series of events. I was presented with challenges and situations which prepared me for the journey ahead. Each time I conquered a challenge, I was faced with something tougher. Through persistence, determination, and guidance from one of the best and most respected teachers, I finally came to a moment of complete freedom and liberation from all the limits and blockages that kept me from the infinite beauty and power of the soul. While consciously experiencing this for the first time, I realized this is the state I want to live in every moment.

Overcoming deeper blockages, I opened up my channels and connected with the universe / objective self / higher self / source / spirit, or any of the million other names given to this state. Continuing on this path, I started rapidly making changes in my life to apply and live by these principles. The work to stay on this path is endless, there are infinite challenges and obstacles to fall out of the moment. My goal is to keep the moment alive, to live in a state free from illusion, and finally to reach the state of Nirvana.

I am not affiliated with any religion, institution or belief system. Spirituality is about finding your inner truth, your pure self, and the only way to do this is through personal experience. The most important thing is experiencing the moment. In the moment, a person can completely change anything and everything about their life. I have been assisting and facilitating retreats at a spiritual center in Brazil. I am continuously learning and applying the knowledge that I have channeled over time. In this retreat, I will be conducting workshops and activities to help people to develop the skills and resources required to connect with their true self, and to stay connected even after the retreat. I will guide you in your journey to find yourself, it is up to you to choose the changes and do the work required to stay connected with yourself.
