Lacey Hickox

Lacey is an E-RYT 500 and teaches Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga.  Drawn to yoga in 2000 primarily for the physical asanas , she soon realized the practice had much more to offer.  She has been on the journey ever since, continuously seeking to learn, explore, and live the path of yoga.  Lacey takes a holistic approach to her teachings incorporating Ayurveda and shamanic teachings infused with a deep connection to nature.  In her classes, students are encouraged to find the stillness within the movement, supported by creative sequencing and mindful breathwork.  She hopes to leave students feeling challenged, centered, focused and inspired to continue the yoga practice off the mat with an emphasis on the principles of  mindfulness, awareness and patience.  Lacey aspires to hold space for students to dive deeper into their practice both physically and spiritually.

Lacey is currently training under the close tutelage of the School Yoga Institute (SYI) led by Master Teacher Vedantin Ping Luo Phd and helps guide the SYI teacher training programs.  She also enjoys studying at the Brahmananda Yoga Society of San Francisco were she is currently teaching, practicing, living and working as a manager.  Lacey loves the growth and experience that comes with travel.  You can often find her teaching at retreats around the world as well as sharing workshops and participating in yogic conferences and festivals around the nation.  Lacey has over 1000 hours of studio teaching experience leading Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin classes, meditation and pranayama.

In April 2011, Lacey became a partner of Zazen SF - Wellness Centers.  In September 2012, Zazen opened its second location in the Marina District of San Francisco.  Both centers offer Yoga, Massage, Meditation and Floatation.
