Corinne began her journey as a student of drama where everyday warm-up consisted of Asana, Pranayama and Meditation. Her studies then took her to Montreal where she danced semi-professionally; a discipline which encouraged her to develop a committed home yoga practice. She continued to practice on and off again, until the late 1990’s when she became devoted to yoga and it’s teachings.
In 2006 Corinne became certified to teach yoga at the 200-Hour level and in 2009 completed her 500-hour training at the Anand Prakash Ashram in Rishikesh, India with Yogrishi Vishvketu. Her teaching brings humour, honesty, sincerity, and an open heart. Corinne balances and integrates her flow classes with breath, alignment, strength, and ease. Whether it’s a dynamic flowing class with a little edge of challenge or the deep and slow style of Yin, one will find the space to feel safe while exploring their potential through yoga asana and pranayama. With her with a solid foundation to continue her journey of self-discovery while assisting students to deepen, open and “let go”.
I have enjoyed teaching immensely. I love learning from my students and feel blessed to be able to share my journey with people. One of my biggest joys is to see the look in students' eyes when they move further into a pose than they ever thought they could. I hope that my unique style leaves people feeling rejuvenated, inspired and looking forward to the next class!
Corinne is also a practicing doula and received training through Doulas of North America (DONA). She is a member of the Edmonton Doula Association and has co-facilitated the prenatal portion of the yoga teacher training for Trinity Yoga.
She brings with her a unique perspective, a breadth of understanding and a deep commitment to her profession.
