David

About us

David is passionate about travel and helping others achieve their goals. David comes with a wealth of information on how to travel as he has spent much of his adulthood filling his passport. Among his most impressionable experiences abroad, in 2007, he was sent to the Philippines as a Peace Corps Volunteer and he served on a small island for 31 months. In 2011, he returned to the US and he received his graduate certificate in counseling at Western Seminary in Portland Oregon.

He is always up for an adventure and loves trying new foods.  He is a certified rafting guide, an avid rock climber, and he has explored much of the Pacific Northwest in the twelve years he has been there. He works for the Department of Human Services, is launching a non-profit on his former Peace Corps island to promote ecotourism and he has been selected to becoming a certified coach for Katherine Woodward Thomas’ Conscious Uncoupling program.

He has the responsibility and excitement for booking celebratory events at the retreat center in the Dominican Republic for those times when Abundance Retreat staff are state-side. There is not much that David won’t do in order to make his guests feel comfortable and welcomed at Abundance Retreats. For their celebrations to be what they want in a destination event. If there is anything that you need during your time with us, just ask David. If he doesn’t know the answer, he’ll find it.
