Plant Medicine Retreat

(See also: shamanism, ayahuasca, and San Pedro.) Plant medicines are experiencing a surge of popularity in the West, particularly with respect to the indigenous healing traditions throughout South America which work with huachuma (also known San Pedro) and ayahuasca. These psychoactive substances can be seen as drugs, when viewed through a Western cultural lens. Yet these medicines have long-standing—and perhaps even ancient—uses as indispensable tools in indigenous healing traditions.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Reconnecting with myself after a very crazy few months with a new baby! Just having that feeling of being grounded again. But also having an opportunity to connect with new amazing people. Getting exposed and Inspired by new (to me) yoga instructors (and community). Being in the presence of real, authentic and raw emotion (the whole spectrum).. So many reasons! Alyson
