Newbold House hosts a wide variety of workshops and is available to hire for mini-conferences, retreats or regular classes. The facilities we provide include the use of our beautiful function rooms, full accommodation for up to 24 people in our comfortable and quiet house looking out onto gardens surrounded by a great natural setting. Unlimited walks in the countryside are available through our back garden gate.
Set in its own ground inclusive of woodland , Newbold House provides a secluded and safe haven surrounded by the nature in which to host a wide variety of workshops, retreats and events. The beautiful woodlands and large victorian house provides a perfect container for holding groups. The venue is hosted by a residential community commited to sustainble values, out guests often comment on the feeling of being welcomed into a family whilst visiting Newbold.
The venue hire includes meals prepared by our dedicated kitchen team using incredients from our very own walled garden.
(8.5m x 6.5m). Decorated in calm soft colours, this airy and spacious room looks out on our extensive lawns from high sash windows. The finished pitched pine floor beneath the warm rugs provides the perfect dance floor, workshop space, concert venue, or meeting space.
The Art Room
(8.5m x 5.5m). Fully carpeted, with stained glass windows and an open fireplace, this room is popular for body-oriented and meditative healing work. It has an inbuilt screen for overhead projector/slides.Situated in one of the most spectacularly beautiful regions of Scotland, Newbold is surrounded by a variety of stunning landscapes. The unspoilt Moray coastline, forest and muntains of the Caringorm national park, are home to abundant wildlife and breathtaking views.
Our Sanctuary is situated at the top of the house in part of the extensive attic and offers a peaceful space for contemplation, meditation and prayer. Used daily by the community for Taize singing and our morning attunement, it is also open to guests to use whenever they wish.
