About This Center
Newbold House is a sympathetically-maintained, grade-B listed Victorian mansion and grounds in the North-East of Scotland.
Run by a small, resident community, we are dedicated to living lightly on the land and embodying both environmental and social sustainability. Our intention is to make the best use of natural resources, providing a wholesome space for guests to recharge and find their own inner resilience, away from the busy-ness of everyday life.
Our Tailored Retreats are designed to help you to relax and return to your busy life with the resources to stay centred and inspired.
The best medicine for holistic health can be found in the simple things: beautiful sunsets, birdsong, time away from telephones and emails… But accessing this peaceful state can be hard for the busy, modern mind.
Let us help get you there with a personalised program of experiences designed for you, by you with our experienced retreat co-ordinator. We can also organise retreats for groups, teams and organisations.
WHAT ELSE DO WE OFFER?
Newbold House is a retreat and workshop centre with a focus on nature, sustainability, personal development and wellness. We also host Wild At Heart a bespoke wildlife and nature-focus eco-holiday company that provides outdoor adventures and nature connection for solo travellers, groups and families.
For our full online program of workshops and courses see our calendar of events.
WHERE WE ARE
We are based in Forres on the North East coast of Scotland, a short journey from the picturesque village of Findhorn; both places perfect for craft shopping, coffee and cake and small local museums
We benefit from glorious nature, a microclimate that provides some of the best weather in the UK and close contact with the internationally famous Findhorn Foundation, renowned for its wealth of skilled and qualified integrative therapists.
We are 6 miles from Findhorn Bay, part of the Moray coast named one of the 12 ‘most beautiful and unspoiled coastlines’ by National Geographic Travel magazine. Moray offers a huge range of activities including hiking, biking, stately homes and gardens, Findhorn eco-village, local crafters, cashmere and golf! There is also the option to extend your stay to allow a greater exploration of the Highlands, Cairngorm National park and Loch Ness.
