      Sun Mountain Retreat Center

Sun Mountain's professional staff, warm welcome, incredible atmosphere, comfortable beds/pillows/linens, and over-the-top delicious food was incredible and absolutely appreciated by our group. The staff and this place exceeded expectations and fed my body, mind, and spirit. I look forward to returning for another experience with my husband as it is a special place for groups, couples, or solo experiences. Just wow.

      Great Get-Away!

Great get away close to Denver and Boulder. The staff was gracious and the food was outstanding. This beautiful mansions is adorned with crystals and fireplaces throughout. The views and grounds are gorgeous and Garden of the Gods in walking distance. I would not hesitate to visit again.

A Perfect Retreat Getaway to Nurture in Nature

The Sun Mountain Center is a quaint, homey retreat center nestled amongst the red rocks of Colorado. The staff was friendly and accommodating upon our arrival, and open to helping with preparing fires and setting an ideal ambiance for our extended-weekend yoga retreat. The meals were outstanding. The chef was accommodating to all of our dietary needs/restrictions and provided vegan, gluten-free meals that were so clearly mindfully prepared with love. Our participants enjoyed their time here and the house was a cozy setting for our evenings. The center is close to Garden of the Gods as well as downtown Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs. During the free day, we had people explore the downtown areas for shopping while others hiked to waterfalls and up the massive incline nearby! We highly recommend the Sun Mountain Center for any retreat purpose and found it a perfect location for our first yoga/meditation retreat.

      28 hours of Rejuvenation!

A beautiful ,quiet, restful retreat. Did my own yoga on premises and went to the hot spring smoking tubs which was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. The room was spacious and comfy although I fun mattress to be a bit hard for my liking. And no hairdryer in the room. Al in all a perfect retreat. I will be back!

      beautiful get away

Sun Mountain is the perfect getaway for anyone who needs to step away from everyday life for a few days (or weeks!). It is a beautiful retreat center nestled in the hills of Manitou Springs. There are endless places to wander both on the property and off. The property has all you could need, including quiet places to sit and meditate, gardens with breathtaking views, homecooked meals prepared by chefs that LOVE what they do. You can also walk a quarter of a mile to the Garden of the Gods and hike around for hours. The rooms at Sun Mountain cannot be described but have to be experienced- they hold the old world charm but are so comfortable you don't want to leave. The staff always have your comfort in mind as you stay and the Sun Water Spa is just down the road if you want to treat yourself to a spa treatment or a soak in the mineral tubs. I can't say enough about this amazing place. As soon as I step onto the property, the world seems to fall away and I enter my happy place!

      Yoga Retreat with Nikki Rogers

The yoga retreat with Nikki Rogers at Sun Mountain Center was fantastic. The lodging was gorgeous with plenty of room, comfy beds, blankets, and very clean. The staff was wonderful and friendly. The food was vegetarian and was fresh and delicious. My only suggestion for the food would be to include more protein in the dinners. Nikki Rogers is of course an awesome yoga instructor, and we also had fun doing the Manitou Incline hike just 5 minutes from our house. I would highly recommend this retreat!

      Fantastic little get away

We stayed for one night on a Saturday early June. From check in to check out everything was great! Our room was quaint and comfortable. The animals were so much fun to go check out and hang with. We felt like we were the only ones there since it was so quiet. Then we meet everyone at breakfast which was top notch! We’ll be back and have been telling all our friends and family!

      Relaxed and Inviting

I stayed at Sun Mountain Center this past week. I was looking for a place that was unplugged from the world, spiritual, felt intimate, and a little higher end. I completely found that. The location is great if you want to be in the middle of Manitou. The main building (Rockledge) was built over 100 years ago, and reflects an old world elegance. There is a second home (Analedge) directly below that is also used. This place is slightly magical. I'm not Buddhist (in fact I'm Christian). But I respect all, and this place is plugged into something lovely. The grounds are very pretty, if slightly run down. The people are so kind and friendly. In the morning, promptly at 8, they serve breakfast. You eat together with others staying there; it was lovely to talk to others. I am not vegetarian or gluten free, so I was skeptical of the food. But the chef made it taste amazing. Down the street, a very walkable half mile, is the SunWater Spa where you can take yoga and meditation classes and soak in their mineral spa. After three days there I was rested and rejuvenated. I am so happy with my experience that I am planning to return in the Fall for a yoga retreat. The only negative i can say is that the grounds aren't adequately lit. After sitting in the hot tub until after dark I almost fell repeatedly because the path isn't lit at all. So fair warning, bring a light or your phone. Thank you Sun Mountain Center for rocking my world. You made me open up to new things. Namaste.

      Excellent Stay!

I attended a yoga retreat at the SunMountain Center. My expectations were through the roof. Everything from the personalized hospitality, on-site chef, and most importantly the beautiful views. I mean AMAZING VIEWS!! My room was clean, comfortable, and had a "fresh" feeling. I loved the farm-to-table foods, and the organic & environmental friendly atmosphere. I WILL be going back soon.

      Loved it here

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. The view was wonderful and food was great! Close to everything we wanted to do during our stay in Manitou. The outdoor hot tub was our favorite way to end the night after long days of hiking and exploring!

      Amazing, Relaxing, Paradise

The Sun Mountain Center is a true-gem tucked away in Manitou Springs, Colorado. I would highly recommend the Sun Mountain Center and Sun Mountain Wellness spa to anyone who is looking to clear your mind, practice yoga, soak in the mineral hot springs, and relax! I had the most amazing stay!

      Peaceful and Relaxing weekend.

From walks around the property, to tea on the patio with a marvelous view, to soaking at the SunWater Spa, it was a wonderful chance to step away from the the daily chaos and recenter.

Great, holistic amenities with a vintage feel

Step into a historic house, but with modern healing atmosphere. Everything from the locally grown food to the mineral tubs is top quality. Wonderful location to step out of your routine and dive into retreat mode.
