Suleyman’s Garden is a charming, small traditional farm set on the Mediterranean ‘Turquoise’ coast, with terraced vegetable fields, orchards and stunning sea views from its dining terrace and yoga shalas. It is just a five-minute walk through the forest to reach a beautiful, rocky swimming cove and only fifteen minutes by local bus to sandy beaches, or twenty minutes to the small resort of Olu Deniz, with arguably Turkey’s most famous beach.
Suleyman and his wife Deniz at Suleyman’s Garden, not only produce delicious Turkish village meals, but also grow most of the organic produce themselves.
Managed by one of the founding partners of Huzur Vadisi, Ian is your charming and entertaining host, with a wealth of experience of Turkey, having been brought up in Istanbul.
Suleyman’s Garden offers accommodation for up to twenty-four in simple cabins with shared bathroom facilities, and in five twin en-suite rooms, set amidst verdant vegetable and flower gardens.
There are two yoga shalas, a more intimate one for smaller groups, and an expansive one for larger groups, both with lovey sea views. Both are fully equipped with mats, belts, blocks, bolsters and blankets.
Excursions can be arranged, including the firm favourite, a boat trip for swimming with lunch aboard, sailing along this stunning, undeveloped coastline to a beautiful isolated beach. The area also has lovely coastal and mountain walks. For the adventurous, nearby Olu Deniz is the centre for world-class parascending. Shopping or sight seeing trips can also be arranged, as can a trip to the Turkish baths. Several lovely beaches are within 10 – 15 minutes driving distance. (or walk five minutes to the nearby rocky cove)
A terrace with sea view is used for dining, and there are many quiet shady nooks with cushions for relaxing, A swimming pool also has views of the sea, and is perfect for cooling off.
