The Mindfulness Project

About This Center

The Mindfulness Project is located in a rural village outside of Khon Kaen Thailand. During the open seasons it hosts 20-30 volunteers to participate in local community outreach, natural building, and permaculture. They also experience in depth meditation and mindfulness training as well as daily yoga. In the closed season the project hosts retreats and courses including the annual Vipassana Meditation Retreat and the Heart to Heart Yoga Meditation Retreat. It is connected to the Wat Pho Monastery in Khon Kaen ran by Dr. Ajahn Somchai.

Vipassana Meditation Retreat

"Nothing to be, nothing to do, nothing to become." The annual 10 day Vipassana Meditation retreat is happening on December 28, 2017 to January 7, 2018, in Wat Pho Baan Neonate, Khon Kaen, Thailand. Come back to the roots of Buddhist tradition and experience the power of meditation. The Vipassana Meditation is an easy technique to learn that fits beginners and advanced meditators and it can lead to a deep level of self-understanding, self-love and complete liberation. Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To bring my friend and open her world to the gift of yoga. Denise

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
