About This Center

Take your slippers off and walk barefoot around the Native Hawaiian Forest. At Ahu Lani Sanctuary you can enjoy ocean and mountain views and the quiet peace of being nestled within a private 24 acre native Hawaiian Ohia and Koa forest. This off-grid 6 acre ranch has 10 bedrooms and 5 baths. A wrap-around Lani makes for great gathering spaces to enjoy meals, relax and read, nap, and hang out with the friends/family. Enjoy yoga, meditation, and more in the 30 foot round room.

The space

If you desire a peaceful place to relax and live the Aloha spirit, Ahu Lani Sanctuary is perfect. At the end of the road, enjoy trees and birds for neighbors and the breeze as your companion throughout the day. Ahu Lani is blessed with morning sunshine and afternoon rain showers (typically). Situated on the slopes of Mauna Kea, the tallest mountain in the world from the sea floor to peak, at 3,000 elevation, the temperature is cooler but pleasant with mid to high 80s during the day and high 60s at night. Another perk of this elevation is the lack of bugs and mosquitoes. Enjoy some of the clearest night skies in the world!

This land is sacred and will take your breath away. The round room is ready for yoga, mediation, dance, and group gatherings. Ahu Lani is an ideal place to hold your Yoga Teacher Training or Vipassana, away from the distractions of the world.

Go for a walk among the native Hawaiian Ohia and Koa trees and get lost in time. You won't want to leave!

I could give you no advice but this: to go into yourself and to explore the depths where your life wells forth. Rilke

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My inspiration is to find some very much needed solace away from the stress of raising 4 children, working (as a dietitian) and trying to get my private nutrition counseling practice launched. I am a registered yoga instructor and have practiced for over 10 yrs, and have always dreamed of taking a yoga retreat just for my own inner well being. Linda

Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
