You are supporting sustainability of the fragile Burren environment by booking your retreat with the Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre.

The ethos of the Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre is to provide the best quality yoga and meditation teaching within a responsible holiday retreat package to The Burren where we spend time in Nature and the whole package follows the principles of conservation of the environment.

The centre was designed and built using timber framed buildings which have ceiling to floor windows that provide passive solar heating and amazing views over the Burren Hills.

The buildings are super insulated and also have under floor heating throughout so that they are warm and cosy all year round.

We are committed to environmental good practice and related principles including the Geopark Sustainable Code of Practice for Tourism which has helped us to monitor and continually improve our impacts on the environment.

The Burren is located on the Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast of Ireland.

Menu/Cuisine

The vegetarian food at Burren Yoga has been described as restaurant standard and many people have said they have not eaten such good vegetarian food even in restaurants.

Gearoid’s menus and the care when choosing ingredients are combined with his love for cooking, and his care and attention to detail to both the presentation and the quality of the food that he serves.

The food at Burren Yoga centre is a combination of the best healthy vegetarian ingredients combined carefully with fresh herbs and spices to produce amazing vegetarian food which not only is a delight for the taste buds and the enjoyment of eating, but one feels good afterwards as all the ingredients have been carefully combined together to be good for one’s health and wellbeing.

Gearoid used to work in a Hare Krishna restaurant in New York, and is very conscious of preparing the food with love and the effect this can have on the food that is being prepared.

The atmosphere in the kitchen is warm and intimate filled with fun and love as people enjoy this amazing vegetarian food.

Accommodations

At the Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre you have a choice of accommodation of:

sharing with others
single room
twin room (only if 2 of you are booking together)
double room (only if two of you booking or you want to treat yourself to the room for yourself)
room for 4 reserved just for 1 or 2 of you


We have one room for 6, two rooms for 4, three single rooms and two double rooms.

We can sleep 21 people but we only ever take a maximum of 15 people on any of our retreats.

We have men sharing in one of the dorms and women in the other.

Most people come on their own, and if you select ‘sharing’ on your booking form, we will allocate you a shared room with same sex and similar age group.

Directions

How long does it take to drive from Dublin?

It all depends what time you leave Dublin. On a Friday afternoon the traffic is very bad in Dublin.
