About This Center
Om Ma Ya Awareness Center was established in early 2018.
It is a retreat and a community center for people seeking support and guidance to live a simple, natural, conscious, profound and content life.
People are invited to stay here for a short and long term, to deepen roots in the present moment, cultivate and develop the tools to be more conscious and practical in life, and spend time in a supportive environment, with people who practice and live according to these principles, and by that
The retreat center is intended to wake you up physically and mentally using a combination of simple practices, which will allow you to be more aware of your body sensations, emotions, and your mindset.
You will discover that the ideas and beliefs you hold about yourself and life, limit you and prevent you from living your life to the fullest - without fear, frustration, doubts or anger. You will experience how to live the present moment in a practical way.
By investigating your mind, you will be able to discern between what is real and what is just an imaginary situation created by your mind, which prevents you to see things as they really are. When you see things as they are, you experience reality.
Some of the retreat center's activities will consist of walking, stretching and moving the body, conscious breathing, conversing on different topics of your interest, questioning, investigating your beliefs, spending time with yourself, eating simple fresh vegan meals and taking time to simply rest.
We will work on stretching your pain threshold physically and mentally, so you can experience that there are truly no limitations, except the ones created by you.
The retreat format flows from dynamic and tailored to your needs one-on-one to group practices and sharing.
You will likely be challenged by entering a ten-day encounter with the unknown. We will provide you with all the essential practical tools designed to support you face the challenges without struggle, to prepare a ground for a calm, centred and satisfied life. A life with clarity, sharpness, passion, and presence.
When you have completed the retreat, you will begin to notice that your perspective of life has changed; you will experience more openness and alertness.
A real transformation in the way you perceive life will be taking place.
"Who am I really? What do I want? From myself, from life? How do I know if I'm making the right decision? How do I know what's right for me?" These are questions that kept popping in to my head after a drastic change I made in my life and I hoped to find the answers to these questions by solo traveling SE Asia. After about a month of traveling I realized I wasn't getting any closer to finding these answers. I felt like I was just on a really long vacation. Self discovery? Facing fears? Pff! I was constantly surrounded by amazing people, traveling from one destination to another, unconsciously making sure I never have enough alone time to trully be with myself. I knew there was something more I needed to do, just didn't know what. Then, I came across a 10-day self awareness retreat in Sen Monorom, Cambodia that drew my interest. From what I read, it seemed like exactly what I was looking for but really, there was only one way to find out. So I booked a bus from Phnom Penh to Mondulkiri and in about 6 hours, I arrived to the place that would later on change my life. I arrived to Hu Ma Ya Awareness Center. Lead by the most amazing and supporting couple Yigal and Ofir who tailor the retreat to every participant's personal needs. The center is located in the midst of nature while still offering high quality accomodation (hot showers, comfortable beds, and amazing fresh vegan meals). Yigal and Ofir will take you on a journey of self-discovery by challenging you both physically and mentally and offering priceless guidance that will be there for life. AccommodationsAll 10 rooms in the center are private bedrooms.

Menu/Cuisinewe serve 3 simple and delicious vegan meals per day all made with fresh local ingredients.
The menu is vegan friendly. Coffee and tea will be served all day.
Any dietary restrictions or requests please alert us as soon as possible.
Menu is subject to change based on availability and integrity of ingredients.
We usually serve porridge (Tapioca, Semolina, Oatmeal, rice), with fresh local fruits and grain.
We usually serve a hot meal with rice or noodles, with grain, fresh salad.
We usually serve a light meal of stir-fried or steamed vegetables with noodles and fresh salad, or salty porridge.

Both cities have international airports.
5.5-6 hours drive, between 10-12 dollars for a single passenger.
9-11 hours drive, between 18-20 dollars for a single passenger.

I came by across an awarness center, in Sen Monorom, Cambodia, run by two wonderful people named Yigal and Ofir wich have an amazing vision to life if you ask me - to live simple, aware and full life. I went trough a 10 day retreat at that place, learning what I already knew but forgot, brainwashed from my society I grew up with, I remember now - that the only moment existing in our reality is NOW, and in this moment, there are no more problems or troubles, no complicated thoughs and limiting beliefs, only life, simple as that. I can honestly say now I can be in full peace with my life, as long as I continues to investigate my thoughts and beliefs, every day, every moment, connecting to myself and to reality where life just happen without complications!
