Tofte Manor Retreats

About us

Tofte Manor is a beautiful home and elemental venue that has been designed with the intention of creating supportive, sacred spaces in which deep work can be accomplished. Because of its nature as a home, it is a place of intimacy and nurture. The property is exclusively yours during your hire and includes access to the beautiful gardens and the unique Labyrinth. We have recently added a huge fire pit area in the form of the Ouroboros. The gardens are filled with carefully placed crystals that support the energy of this elemental venue. We provide free Tofte water which has been energentically charged and everyone loves.

It is all too easy in this world of high activity, targets and ambitions to overlook the importance of taking time out to simply ‘be’. Retreats are a time to ‘treat’ oneself and recharge with no external intrusions.

Tofte Manor is a wonderful venue for group retreats, providing an environment that is energetically charged and incredibly peaceful.

Sitting on a ley line, this beautiful, harmonious house and grounds provides the ideal environment for contemplation, healing and personal development.

Retreats are held in the Crystal Room, the Sanctuary. The Labyrinth plays an important part in contemplation and mindfulness practices. Crystal Healing and massage is available with advance booking.

"Nowhere can man find a quieter or more untroubled retreat than within his own soul" Marcus Aurelius

The magic of Tofte Manor is held in its gardens, its labyrinth, its history and the lovingly restored interiors of this wonderful 17th century manor house. What makes Tofte Manor different is the harmonious holistic environment we provide, as well as the fact that the Manor House still retains its purpose as a home. This gives it a unique atmosphere of privacy and comfort whilst still delivering top quality service, accommodation and catering.
This Bedfordshire Manor House is set in 50 acres of beautiful gardens which contain a swimming pool, tennis court, fire pit and grass labyrinth. The property is exclusively yours during your stay.
There is accommodation for up to 36 people in 16 bedrooms with lots of space for luxury yurts or camping in the grounds. Local hotels can provide further accommodation.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Reconnecting with basic goodness in an environment of people who share a vision for a better society. Wimberly

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
