Mind Body Therapy (IMBT)

About This Center

The Institute for Mind Body Therapy (IMBT) offers a series of educational programs (many for free), depending on whether you are just interested in learning more about mind and body approaches to therapy, whether you are a body-based practitioner (surrogate, massage or touch therapist, energy worker, meditation coach, etc.), or a licensed clinician or therapist.

The IMBT offers ongoing education opportunities in three forms: Community Support Series, which are grassroots-based, peer-to-peer support forums and learning interactions; Online Support Series, which are wholly web-based trainings, talks, and programs; and Experiential Learning Series, which are face-to-face structured learning programs that offer the benefit of in-person learning.

Participation in some programs can be applied to continuing education credit to receive IMBT certification, or to maintain certification status.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

It would my first vacation in the mountains. I think getting away and beginning a new routine would be good for me and a friend. Dianne
