About This Center
Chakra Garden of Ashland is a dream, healing philosophy, & spiritual sanctuary. The dream was fueled by neglected land with a vintage house & a beautiful view, part of the artistic heart of Ashland Oregon. Our vision of sacred garden spaces aligned with our philosophy & practice of embodied non dual realization. CGA is our home, & also a spiritual sanctuary for self-awakening & deeper levels of personal & relational intimacy, a place for weary travelers seeking refuge from outdated habits. At CGA, our life, work & environment support personal growth, embodied non dual experience, & wholeness-of-being.
Venue HighlightsChakra Garden of Ashland is located near the heart of our culturally and therapeutically sophisticated village in Southern Oregon. It's an easy walk to all of the primary Ashland attractions: Oregon Shakespeare Festival (America's premier repertory theater company); Lithia Park; fine dining; world class shopping. Ashland is at the southern end of Oregon's lush Rogue River Valley, just over the border from California and Mt Shasta, and the mountain range intersection above our town boasts the most diverse eco-system in the Americas.
Our enclosed property is located on nearly 1/2 an acre of gorgeously arrayed wildflower, perennial, and medicinal plant gardens, arranged into private areas representative of the Chakras. Our 3 unique guest cottages open into garden pathways and a private world outside the ordinary. You can rest in the shade upon the chamomile bed in 4th Chakra just as medieval folk rested as a healing therapy in feudal monasteries. You can enjoy convivial conversation or quietly meditate under the shady apple tree in 1st Chakra, absorb yourself in the mysteries of a campfire in 3rd Chakra, soak languidly in 2nd Chakra's hot tub, or drift in 6th Chakra's hammock. And all of the culturally and spiritually oriented delights of Ashland are 10 minutes walk away.
Your hosts at Chakra Garden of Ashland, Zeb Lancaster PhD and Candace Cave, live & work in the two-story vintage home that fronts the property. There, in Sancuary House, we meet private clients plus guide groups & workshops, offering relationship & intimacy counseling, embodied nondual awakening (inc Realization Process), yoga therapy, massage (Rolfing), and occasional garden adventures. From here we tend to the gardens and our cottage guests. Reserve an ala carte retreat at CGA, one or both of us can be a guide.

DirectionsAshland is the first town north of the California/Oregon border if you are traveling along Interstate 5, about halfway along it's length between Mexico and Canada. Settled at the base of the Rogue River Valley with a natural hot springs, Ashland has been a healing rest stop for weary West Coast travelers since the 1850s.
If you travel to us by air, you'll fly into Medford, OR (MFR) airport, about 15 miles north of us (20 minutes). You can reach us by city bus, Uber, taxi, or shuttle. We have found the least expensive transportation is to arrange pick up and drop off ahead of arrival/departure with Cascade Shuttle ((contact info blocked)). Uber is more expensive than taxi service; there are always taxis waiting at the airport.
Rogue Valley Transit District buses run hourly Monday-Saturday, 7:01am-9:01pm from the Airport and airport drop=offs from 7:20am-6:20pm. You'll need to ride two buses: Route 61 from airport to Front Street Station and Route 10 from Front Street Station to Ashland. There's a southbound stop right across N. Main Street from our Sanctuary. Please contact RVTD for a definitive schedule ((contact info blocked)).
