About This Center

New Moon Retreats facilitate psychedelic experiences in a safe, legal, and comfortable setting with experienced facilitators. We make psilocybin experiences accessible to first timers as well as experienced people who want to explore psychedelics in a deeper and more intentional way.

How Are We Different To Other Psychedelic Retreats?

Meditation
We place the psilocybin sessions amidst meditation and mindfulness practice because we understand this to be the perfect container for deep and rewarding psychedelic sessions. Our program includes an accessible course of meditation practice with guided meditations and mindfulness exercises. More on how and why we include meditation here.

High ratio of facilitators to participants
We have 4 facilitators for each group of 8 participants. This is so that we can give each person due attention and care and have a deeper level of connection and intimacy with each group.

Option of 1 or 2 psilocybin sessions
We currently have two retreat formats: a 3 night and a 5 night.
The 3 night format is with one psilocybin session and the 5 night format is with two.
The five night is for people who want to explore psilocybin more deeply and includes further integration activities and awareness practices.

A New Moon Retreat includes:

Psilocybin session/s with personalised dose: Sessions are held in a comfortable indoor setting with our team of facilitators. We are present at all times to ensure comfort and safety. Personalised dose depends on intention, body weight, and prior experience with non-ordinary states of consciousness.

Meditation & mindfulness: Practice of awareness and attention skills that are useful in the navigation and integration of a magic truffle journey. We place the experiences in this context because we understand this to be the perfect container for deep and rewarding journeys. The accessible course of meditation practice includes daily guided meditations and mindfulness exercises. More on how and why we include meditation on our website.

High ratio of facilitators to participants
We have 4 facilitators for each group of 8 participants. This is so that we can give everyone due care and attention and have a deeper level of connection and intimacy within each group.

1 to 1s with facilitators: To check in, help formulate and finalise intention, and a chance for any questions.

Preparation: A pre-retreat preparation call. Pre-retreat introspective exercises to prepare you mentally as well as information for travel. On retreat, we’ll cover session guidelines and techniques to use during the sessions.

Yoga: Daily yoga sessions to ground and ease tension in your body and mind. Our sessions are with Ulla, a yoga teacher with 40+ years of experience. Her focus is on classic hatha yoga, using breathing, relaxation, and physical exercises to create connection between body and mind.

Integration sessions: To help identify key themes and insights from your psilocybin experience. This is done through a mix of creative exercises designed to help revisit and reflect on the experience and explore the essence and key insights.

Follow Up Call: We will follow up with you 2 weeks after to check in with you and your integration process. This gives further opportunity to reflect on the experience and receive any necessary support.

Our mission:

To increase accessibility of psychedelic experiences. Moving away from shamanistic new age associations of the psychedelic experience, we aim to provide a retreat which is compatible with contemporary Western values and beliefs. We hope to enable people to broaden their minds, develop insight and understanding, accelerate personal development and stimulate creative breakthroughs. To teach our guests basic meditation techniques such as focused attention and mindfulness to prepare for psychedelic sessions and as a tool to use for a more awakened life.To offer a safe and supportive environment for people who want to take psilocybin in a controlled and comfortable setting. We believe this environment is paramount for any productive and beneficial exploration and all sessions are supervised by experienced facilitators. To create a setting that is designed to maximise the positive benefits of psilocybin. We believe the setting is hugely important in shaping the experience and we pay special attention to comfort, sound and light.

      Transformational

The retreat was transformational-and this is a term I rarely use! I recommend the book "How to change your mind" by Michael Pollan to understand the science of psychedelics and the importance of preparing and evaluating beforehand. New Moon did a wonderful job from prior to arrival to follow up after the retreat. Thankfully, New Moon chose the Netherlands where this type of retreat where it is legal, and showed discreteness for those who might be concerned. The set, setting, intention and integration were are crucially important for this type of experience, and New Moon chose wisely. I felt safe and secure the entire time as did the other retreat guests who attended. The facilitators were all experienced while truly caring and concerned about the guests who attending. I would recommend this to any persons who are even inquisitive, and I have told others the same. After the retreat, I knew I had chosen wisely in New Moon. I look forward to attending further retreats with New Moon. My review is done without any financial consideration or renumeration from New Moon for my testimonial.

      Excellent

A safe and welcoming place to expore psilocybin. All the faciliitors were caring and supportive and have their all to assist participants on their journey. The retreat facility is excellent and the food was really wonderful. I would recommend New Moon to anyone interested in exploring psyedelics.

      New Moon psilocybin ceremony

I could not have been in better hands for my very first psychedelic encounter. New Moon's guides have many years' experience of the benefits psychedelics can bring when taken with well thought out and constructive intentions. The retreat provided a safe space to facilitate just such an approach. I felt totally secure at all times. One aspect that I felt was handled especially well was the group dynamic. We arrived as a bunch of strangers with only our curiosity about psychedelics in common, but by the time of the ceremony, we were familiar enough with each other to form a cohesive and supportive group. The location could not be bettered for comfort and the feeling of being in the midst of peaceful nature. Excellent vegetarian meals were shared with gusto, and I found myself appreciating the colours and flavours with particular intensity after taking the psilocybin truffles. The ratio of facilitators to participants is higher than that found in many comparable retreats.

      Beautiful Weekend

From start to end, the retreat was exactly what I was looking for. The group was small enough to get to know the other participants and the facilitators well. The group work was just right with the opportunity to learn more about myself. The venue is so unique, quirky and earthy I felt relaxed as soon as I arrived. The evening yoga nidra and the morning meditations were just what I needed and really helped me ground myself. The ceremony was perfect, in that we all knew each other enough to understand a bit about our journeys and the support from each of facilitators was perfect in letting us just be ourselves. I felt a connection with everyone over the weekend, and had fun too. There were some beautiful moments during the ceremony especially towards the end when we were all together as a group. The food was delicious, and the whole setup in terms of daily activities was relaxed. Overall it was a beautiful weekend.
