Kagyu Samye Dzong

About This Center

Kagyu Samye Dzong London Tibetan Buddhist Centre first opened in April 1998 and provides a place of peace and tranquillity in central London. We run a programme of courses and workshops focusing on meditation, Buddhism, and holistic therapies. We also provide venues for community activities and holistic practitioners.

Venue Highlights

The centre provides a host of services to cater to a wide range of needs. We have weekly yoga and martial arts classes and a Tibetan Doctor who visits once a month for those interested in improving their well being. We have facilities for hire such as workshop rooms and a treatment room. Our Bardo group is available to assist those who need spiritual support before and after death. We dedicate prayers for those in need during our weekly pujas. We welcome school groups to visit for them to discover more about Buddhism. Also visit our Tibetan Tea Room and shop for a delicious selection of cakes and teas all whilst browsing over Buddhist book and items for sale.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To be. Susan

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
