About This Center

We are a 5 room & 1 Tipi eco-lodge located at the border of Huascaran National Park in the Andes, approximately 30 minutes from the town of Huaraz, 8 hours North East of Lima, the capital. We are looking to host a retreat with a group that fits our ethos and desire to be in the wilderness. Our location gives us front-door access to world-class hiking, trail-running, biking and climbing. Our views will inspire you and are perfect for meditation and yoga. Our NGO Andean Alliance which is supported through our business facilitates authentic community connection with the local traditional villages. All of our buildings were built with zero electricity with local materials with the help of local artisans. On-site we have 7 greenhouses and 3 gardens where we grow a majority of our produce, potatoes and quinoa. This is a great place to disconnect from the outside worlds, so could also work for writing retreats. Due to our capacity we could support no more than 12 retreat participants (with room sharing). Pricing includes sauna, maps for local trails, 3 nutritious meals, filtered water (saying no to plastic), sauna, herbal tea bar, and tour of the community center and current projects.

Experience The Andes from within at The Lazy Dog Inn.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

It would my first vacation in the mountains. I think getting away and beginning a new routine would be good for me and a friend. Dianne
