STOP TRAINING! START PLAYING!
Harder, better, faster, stronger. In work, in sports, in daily life… These days goals are expressed in superlatives like these. By going back to nature and moving away from the dogmatic training systems and drawing from different disciplines Momentum invites us to move our own way. Different ingredients, the same recipe: play. Who said training can't be fun?
Momentum is the Mixed Movement Arts focused experiences in Koh Phangan/Thailand, for strengthening the body, exploring & expressing the potential of natural movement with integrity to playful like-minded community. At the movement facility, tucked away in the scenic hills of Koh Phangan, we welcome everybody at daily classes and workshops. At the precisely organised retreats, we provide authentic movement-oriented holiday experience with the chance to taste local food and immerse into island nature and culture, while ensuring that no harm is done to the environment.
Express your Momentum!
Venue HighlightsGet ready to train in one of the best-kept secrets of Koh Phangan Island, a spacious Shala nestled at the peak of a tropical jungle and facing the clear blue waters of the open sea. The Shala is found in Haad Tien Bay, hidden perfectly between Haad Yuan Bay and Haad Wai Nam Bay in the southeast of the island. The three bays are within walking distance of one another and offer an array of accommodations & restaurants. The Shala is situated up the hill from Beam Bungalows. Most of the training will take place in The Shala, but creative use of the beach and surrounding environment will also be incorporated.
AccommodationsYou will be staying at Beam Bungalows, a short 5 min walk from The Shala. Beam is known for the best fresh coconuts in the area, as well as a range of room options and a great restaurant with sea view.

DirectionsTraveling by Plane
There is no direct plane landing on Koh Phangan. The easiest way to get from Bangkok to Koh Phangan is to fly from Bangkok to the neighboring island called Koh Samui. Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways are the only airlines that currently operate on this route.
Traveling by Ferry
If arriving to Koh Samui, then we recommend taking either the 11:15am or 13:30pm Lomprayah Ferry from Nathon Pier on Koh Samui to Thongsala Pier on Koh Phangan, Friday 31 Jan or earlier. We will provide pick up from Thongsala Pier at two designated times (depending on group’s arrival) and provide transport to Beam Bungalows. Ferry tickets can be purchased for 300 THB from Lomprayah.
Traveling by Train
This is a much cheaper alternate from flying. However, the journey can be quite rough and long. We only recommend traveling this way if you’re on a tight budget or really up for an adventure! Simply take a train from Bangkok to Surat Thani. On arrival at Surat Thani railway station, shuttle bus meets the train and takes you to the Don Sak ferry terminal. The bus is included if you’ve purchased the train+ferry fare. Ferries sail every hour from Don Sak to Koh Samui, crossing time 1.5 hours. Some ferries continue to Koh Phangan. You can buy the combined train+ferry tickets at Bangkok Hualamphong station reservations office, or online for a small handling fee.
Group transport from/to Thong Sala Pier to/from the venue is included to the package.
