Venue Highlights

On the edge of the Lagoon, these modern, warm and cosy Huts provide the perfect sanctuary to start and finish your Wildself Adventure. Set amidst the poplars planted by early settlers, bird life is abundant, clear nights are star filled and the garden is full of private places to forget any other world exists.

The Top Hut has a bedroom, bathroom and bodywork room.
The bedroom has a Queen size bed, French doors opening to the deck, and large windows with an expansive view to the lagoon.
The bathroom has shower, toilet and basin.
The bodywork room has bean bags, a massage table and a small kitchenette for tea and coffee.
Meals are in the Base Hut which has kitchen and lounge and is shared with the owners Sonia and Stephen.
The Huts are insulated with New Zealand sheep wool, European window and door joinery and were designed by Sonia, with the mountain hut aesthetic in mind.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

I'm having a baby in October and want to focus my practice so I can be present and calm! Laine

Retreat Guru's Vision

Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
