Retreat Highlights

  • Join us for a 10-day immersive training into the classical Tai Chi system known as the 13 Forms of Harmony: integrating the 8 Energies (Ba Men) and 5 Steps (Wu Bu).
  • Led by Master Li Shi Feng, this retreat is designed as a direct, embodied experience. Rather than focusing on memorization or choreography, the training emphasizes structure, sensitivity, and the ability to respond naturally in movement.
  • Through daily practice, personal correction, and progressive partner work, participants develop a deeper understanding of balance, coordination, and internal connection.
  • This is a training that unfolds through experience, not theory.

  • Lü (yielding and redirection)
  • Ji (coordinated forward intent)

  • Refining it through solo drills
  • Expressing it within the form
  • Testing it through partner interaction
  • Understanding it through reflection
  • Each energy is introduced progressively and reinforced through repetition and application.
  • What You Will Experience
  • By the end of the retreat, participants begin to develop:
  • A stable and relaxed center (Zhong Ding)
  • Continuous structural support (Peng)
  • The ability to yield and redirect without resistance
  • Integration of all 8 energies within movement
  • The focus is not on performance, but on developing a functional internal system that can respond naturally.
