We invite you to join us for our Summer retreat in the Scottish Highlands. This is an intensive, deep, and transformational retreat for you to cleanse, realign, awaken a deeper connection with your sacred origins, the Living Earth, and Creation.
This work draws upon Earth based wisdom and teachings held by our indigenous elders, sacred healing arts and yoga. The focus of this retreat will be "becoming a healthy seed" - reconnecting and aligning yourself in heath and harmony so that you may resonate as a healthy cell of the living body of our Mother Earth.
This retreat is for people who wish to work on themselves, to shift deep patterns and connect with a living spiritual practice. The essence of the retreat is rooted in Earth based and indigenous wisdom, as well as being a space to cleanse and renew through healing, detoxing foods, daily practices and meditations.
This year we are holding our Scotland retreats in a new venue in Torridon. The retreat spaces are completely newly refurbished cottages, set in the luscious private grounds of an estate. The cottages are within an ancient oak woodland, beneath the mountains and overlooking Loch Torridon on the west coast of Scotland. One of the last unspoilt areas of the British Isles, it is a powerful and deeply beautiful place, surrounded by wildlife and ancient wisdom.
This is an invitation to enter into retreat in exquisite, majestic and pristine land, to cleanse and revitalise through the practice of yoga, meditation, ancient wisdom traditions, cleansing, detoxification, Nature connection, inner journeying and group work.
The retreat days are structured with a daily routine of spiritual practice and inner inquiry. Throughout the week the group will explore the nature of the soul, awakening the sacred witness, the remembrance of Earth as a living being, and one's sacred purpose within Creation. We will be picking up the threads of wisdom that have been left by our ancestors, and reflecting on the footprints that we each wish to leave behind us. Practices and teachings will be shared to help you to recognize and clear that which blocks the pure expression of the light of your soul. Through unravelling your sacred essence, you will be reawakening the memory of how to listen and hear the voice of the Sacred within and how to commune with the streams of wisdom that flow throughout the natural world.
RECONNECTING WITH OUR LIVING EARTH:
In this modern world, many of us have become disconnected from the living spirit of Nature and our attention distracted and diverted away from the pure light of our soul. There is restlessness in the soul that arises when it is un-nurtured and when we are not living in connection with our hearts true purpose and authenticity.
This is reflected in the destruction that we see occurring upon our Earth, and the contamination of that which is pure and sacred. We are a part of this Earth and we are all connected. The world is a mirror, and we are constantly bearing witness to reflections of that which lies within us. To change what we experience in our lives and in our world, we must first go within. To truly know peace and resonate in our souls' essence, we must first identify and face the shadows - that which blocks our light - and learn again to listen.
Our retreats intend to offer you a space to begin or deepen this journey of awakening the soul and living in the sacred; learning tools with which to move beyond the patterns and tendencies which keep you caught within destructive or disharmonious thoughts and behaviours, so that you may live in harmony with life, in resonance with your soul.
What are the choices that you make in each day and each moment? How can you learn to be responsible for what you create and attract to you within your life, and the impact you have upon those around you? What do you give energy to, and how do you give back to life? What is it that you wish to 'leave behind you' for the next generations? What are your unique gifts and medicine? What is you sacred life purpose? How do you walk behind that prayer? These are questions we will be exploring together, and looking at how we can seed new possibilities within our own lives, and use our energy to nourish the sacred seeds of life upon the Earth.
The retreat includes a session of yoga, meditation and shamanic practices in the morning and evening, a detoxification and cleansing program of fresh juices, smoothies, soups and salad; spiritual practices; a day long medicine walk, time in Nature; periods in silence, inner journeying and contemplation; talks on diet and healing; group sharing circles; personal mentoring and guidance.
Held within a safe, nurturing container, this retreat will challenge, confront and inspire you to become more fully who you are.
YOGA & MEDITATION:
Yoga is a path of the heart, and during these few days you will be guided to work through layers of body and mind to release and clear patterns of toxicity and tension; revealing the deeper essence of the soul. The practices are designed to guide you into a space of awareness and attention and will include opening to breath (life-force), asana (postures), kriyas (sequences), pranayama (breath work), meditation (stillness) and sacred reciprocity (harmony).
We practice yoga and meditation as a means of journeying into the body and mind. The retreat is open to experienced practitioners, as well as those with little experience or prior interest in yoga. Yoga is not about what you can or can't 'do'.. but about meeting yourself as you are.
Noble Silence is a practice where a person makes a commitment to refrain from speaking for a specific period of time, as a way to help quieten the mind and condition the body in the discipline of conscious speech. By learning to speak by first centering ourslelves in feeling, we can create clarity of mind and heart, and harmony in our inner and outer relationships.
"Silence is essential for deep transformation. It allows the practice of conscious breathing to become deep and effective. Like still water that reflects things as they are, the calming silence helps us to see things more clearly, and therefore, to be in deeper contact with ourselves and those around us. In common areas, if we do find it necessary to speak, we do it discreetly to help preserve the silent atmosphere.
Any practice needs to be done with intelligence. Our practice of silence need not be oppressive. Although we do not speak, we can still acknowledge the presence of others with a smile or a bow." - Thich Nhat Hanh
Our retreats are intended as a space for inner healing and sacred re-connection. To support this, we request that participants refrain from social chit-chat and unnecessary talk and respect other peoples quiet space. There will be times when we will sit, walk or eat in silence. This can feel uncomfortable at first, as many of us are used to connecting socially through speech. Though this practice of inner and outer silence allows for deeper connection, as we let go of our insecurities and allow ourselves to simply be present, connected in the heart.
In the world today we are faced with the challenge of awakening and returning to ways of living that are in harmony with nature, and with what truly creates and sustains health.
Our world and our inner worlds have become contaminated in many ways, and just as we see the build up of pollution in the world, our bodies may also accumulate a build up of toxins and dis-ease within its system. Over time, this toxicity can lead to oversensitivity to certain foods, weight gain, sluggishness, inflammation, pain, infections, ailments, disease, loss of vitality and sense of wellbeing, and a clouding of clarity and energetic luminosity. Our bodies can become toxic in many ways: through our food and drink, the air we breathe, what we put on our skin; heavy metals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, our environment, unresolved trauma, emotional disturbance and perhaps above all, negative thinking patterns.
Everything is vibration, and that which vibrates at denser frequencies than your optimum state of health will create imbalance and disharmony within your system over time. As you detox your body and bring in pure, foods, fluids and prana (life force energy), your vibration is lifted and you will begin to resonate at clearer, more refined frequencies, allowing more light to flow through you and be held within your cells.
The experiences of your life are stored within your body, until you are able to release and clear them. To truly detox, it is necessary to look at and address all areas of your life and ways of being that are toxic, and take action to cleanse and clear the things that you are giving energy to that are not aligned with your true nature.
During a detoxification process, as the physical body begins to purify and heal itself, layers of toxicity that have been stored within the muscles, tissues, bones and cells are brought to the surface and are given space to be cleared. The process of detoxification will allow you to naturally heal and address experiences from past events where you have unresolved emotions, thoughts, wounding and soul loss.
A well managed cleansing program can help you to release and eliminate unwanted toxins in a safe way, giving you clarity and inspiration to walk forwards in your life in a new way.
Detoxification helps the body to heal itself as nature intended; cleansing and repairing your beautiful body, helping to restore health, a sense of wellness and the true natural radiance of your inner being.
In order to offer the greatest potential for cleansing and renewal on all levels, the meals for our retreat are:
Breakfast: Green smoothie
Lunch: Salad/raw gourmet meal and/or soup
Dinner: Fresh vegetable juice
Throughout the day: Healing herbal teas
All our food is organic, local grown where possible, vegan, gluten-free and alkalizing – full of prana (living light).

6 nights accommodation
Our venue is a set of completely new refurbished cottages on an estate in one of the most majestic and beautiful areas in Britain. It is set within an area of ancient oak woodland, beneath Torridon mountains on the edge of Loch Torridon. The estate has waterfalls and a river flowing through it, plenty of space to walk through the woodland and down to the sea loch. Classes are held in the group room in one of the cottages, which has also 2 guest rooms, and the other accommodations are in a nearby cottage. The cottages and rooms have been refurbished to a high standard, and are clean and bright with lovely views.
This will be an intimate retreat, with spaces limited to 10 participants.
The retreat will open at 5pm on Saturday 27th October and complete around 12pm on Friday 32nd November
Accommodation is in newly refurbished twin or double rooms. All buildings have new interiors, log fires, and are warm, light and comfortable.

This includes accommodation for 6 nights, all meals, classes and guidance.
Wester Ross is a largely undiscovered jewel in north-west Scotland, shimmering with pure waters, mountains and large skies. Applecross and Torridon are home to some of Scotland's most magnificent mountain scenery, and the journey there is an experience in itself.
We will do our best to help you arrange transport and connect those who would like to arrange car share to get here.
From the East, via Inverness. From the North through Ullapool. From the South by Kyle of Lochalsh, gateway to the Isle of Skye.
There are regular flights to Inverness airport from London and other regional airports. London Gatwick or Luton fly to Inverness and it takes approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. From Inverness, you can take the train and taxi to Torridon, though it is easiest to hire/share a car journey.
There are regular trains and buses that travel to Inverness. (www.travelinescotland.com). From Inverness it is best to hire a car, though it is possible to take a train to Strathcarron and then arrange to be collected by someone driving through, en-route to the retreat. Once we have the retreat group formed, we help people to arrange car shares from Inverness / other cities, and help people taking the train to get a ride.

Daniela Riversong is a respected yoga teacher, healer, mentor and musician. She is the co-founder of the Sacred Living Earth Trust and is known for her sound healing and music work with Anima. Having followed the call of her heart since childhood, she draws upon years of immersion into ancient wisdom, shamanism and the yoga tradition; offering a sensitive, profound and unique space dedicated to the reconnection and awakening of the heart with the living Earth. She lives in the Scottish Highlands and offers one-to-one sessions, workshops, concerts and retreats in the UK and internationally.

“I arrived at 'Replenishing the soul' retreat at a very difficult time of my life - I had just completed a year of breast cancer treatment; then my partner left me. I felt rather emotionally broken and was in desperate need of a reflective sanctuary. As Daniella opened the door to a beautiful cottage in Dartmoor I was greeted by her immediate warmth. I went into what I would later refer to as the 'womb room' to find a group of women lying on yoga mats, wrapped in blankets, by candle light with soothing Amina music playing - then Daniela led us in meditation. The sharing circles with the other women, each who were exploring the juncture of their lives that had brought them there, were deeply transformative for me. I feel so privileged to have been able to share my story there which helped me reflect on unhelpful ingrained patterns of behaviour. Daniella’s unflinching gaze saw into each of us and reflected back what we needed to see inside ourselves through our discussions. The writing tasks exploring what was causing disharmony in our lives were also very powerful.
The detox food was delicious consisting of a smoothie for breakfast, soup & salad for lunch, then a juice for dinner which left me feeling cleansed and filled with nutrition. Sharing meals together felt very uniting. Doing yoga every morning felt like I was infusing life back into my body that had gone through so many medical procedures that year. As a beginner in yoga I was led and helped by Daniela who was sensitive and gentle in her teaching. The exercise took me into my body, away from my repetitive thoughts which was very much needed.
The walks through Dartmoor, especially the silent 'medicine walk' where we saw the stone circles enabled a deep connection with nature. Daniella taught me to see nature in a new way which felt deeply healing and grounding. I feel connection still to the women and that time at the retreat when I look up at the sun.

"I must say the retreat has changed my life. I have been practicing yoga every day since the Easter retreat. It is like a new-born mind. The weekend was really amazing! Your yoga techniques are very good and how you teach and correct positions for us were very helpful and useful. But what I was most inspired from you was the spiritual aspect. I kept thinking who I am and what I would want to achieve in my life during the weekend.
