5 days | Shamanic Yoga Retreat | Nurturing the Heart | Tuscany (Italy)

About This Event

“On our opening retreat
for this year’s ‘Working with the Shadow’ series,
we will search for the heart of power
& nurture the child within us,
for the inner child is the heart of our power,
playful and alive & trustfully awaiting the unknown...”

Nurture is in the balance between our child & adult Selves. This retreat will comprise a deep journey into exploring this relationship.
Growing healthily with the years means growing roots.
The child need not necessarily be like a sapling blown over by any forceful gust of wind, helpless and unable to stand. Neither ought the child grow into a great tree so stable, yet unyielding to the winds of life, that threaten to snap the very branches of its structure.
In the context of Yogic practice, we will travel within ourselves and look at the relationship between our inner child and inner adult. Looking at how this inner play conditions our relationship with ourselves and how we touch our lives.

We will engage in Shamanic yoga practices that look into the very roots of our being, healing our connection to the ancestors and taking steps to freeing ourselves of deeply held energetic patterns. Observing what shakes our roots will be unearthed as we safely travel into these practices as a group.
What can’t always be held alone can find a deep embrace in the sacred circle that we will nurture together.
Moving into new ways of caring for the sapling and retrieving the art of nurturing, so that we can admire the blossoms. Even though cold and forceful winds may be blowing through challenges we face in our lives, we are welcomed to bring ourselves in our entirety and all that we are living through – with the trust of harvest.
The fruit is our very Heart of Power.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To find peace and renewal while going through a huge change in my life. Empty nest and the end of a 27 year marriage all at once. Susan
