About this Retreat
Hello everybody I'm Grietje and I'm practising yoga for several years now. My first encounter with yoga was at the magical place Cusco in Pero. There it "grapped me by my balls" Back home I started looking for a teacher to learn me more about it. I found her in the Netherlands were i lived. Me first attraction was at the Yang kind of yoga (because I am a fire type, and extreme sporting was what I did a lot) My teacher learned me that Yang is easy for me and in Yin is my challenge, so I started practising this aswell.
After a few years I also started to give some classes. My mean job was teacher at a secondary school, so teaching skills i knew and loved. Teaching yoga to high intensity sporters and learn them the benifits of it, i love the most.
A year ago I moved with my boyfriend to Spain to organise holidays which contain yoga and outdoor sports. We truly believe thats this to worlds have a lot to learn and gain from each other!

Specialised in yang yoga like hatha
I have been teaching and giving clinics in the field of outdoor sports for over six years now. This includes survival training and mountain bike clinics for minors as well as adults. I have the necessary certificates, such as survival trainer, mountain bike trainer, climbing certificate outdoor climbing and climbing instructor.

The keyword for life nowadays is balans, yoga in combination with sports can help you with it. Thats why w combine different types of meditation and yoga styles with outdoor sports in our retreat.
The world is becoming more and more demanding. Our jobs expect us to do more stuff in less time. And the media let us believe we all have to look like supermodels. Especially just before summertime gyms and extreme diets are very popular. Unfortunately the biggest effect of this is frustration and stress.
We believe yoga, outdoor sports and mediation are part of the answer for a more balanced and healthy life. Yoga is not only good for your body but even more a way to achieve mindfulness. And sports can ben another way to achieve the same goal. So our goal this week to feel healthy, balanced and happy with yourself.
Nutrition is a big part of a healthy lifestyle. Our meals are mostly vegetarian and diner is made by our guest, because we believe cooking together creates a sense of togetherness and is also a form of mindfulness.
yoga and active outdoor:
In our retreat every day starts with a warming yoga lesson, yang style. On the chalkboard you can than read what the outdoor activity this day is. This can be rock climbing, survival, adventure run, mountain biking etc. This activities are optional, you can always choose to take another relaxing day when your body requires this.

yoga and hiking/ trailrunning: (special option)
In this 6-day yoga active yoga retreat every day has 2 yoga lessons and you can also choose to do a guided hike or trail run. This hike or trail run will bring you on amazing spots in the beautiful nature of Sierra de las Nieves. And while we have 2 guides the group will be parted in 2 levels (when needed)
