About us

From its founding in 1942, Koinonia Farm has been committed to pacifism, radical sharing and the sister/brotherhood of all people. Members work to understand and live the Sermon on the Mount — arguably the most challenging peace and social justice document ever written. The history and present day activities of Koinonia Farm are worth studying, but ours is but one of several peace and social justice organizations in the immediate area.

Reserve a Peace & Social Justice themed visit and we will work with you to design a program. We require a minimum of six participants for a minimum of four nights, but can accommodate a larger group. You must make your reservations at least 1 month in advance. The program will include sessions about Koinonia Farm and outings to various places of interest such as Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village, Café Campesino Fair Trade Roastery, Jimmy Carter’s Boyhood Farm, Andersonville National Historic Site, Albany Civil Rights Institute and more. You may also build work on the farm into your day.

Additional Information:

  • Lunch is Monday through Friday and dinner Tuesday through Thursday. You may request a light Continental Breakfast each morning of your visit.
  • You are welcome to attend our daily chapel services and our Sunday Gathered Worship.

Free Retreat Givewaway

We love you. And because we do, we're giving away another free retreat.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

After having just completed my RYT 200 I have been inspired to further my yoga journey and my own personal journey inward. I have fallen in love with yoga and how it has changed my life and I just want to continue to explore so I can share this beautiful gift with as many as possible. Jessica

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
