About this Retreat
Gina is a mindfulness and well-being facilitator with a deep passion for creating meaningful, restorative experiences for others. She holds qualifications in mindfulness and well-being, counseling, and psychology along with forest bathing. These allow her to guide people in reconnecting with nature in a gentle and therapeutic way.
For over 25 years, she has been welcoming people from all over the world, an experience that has deeply shaped her approach to facilitation, which is warm, inclusive, and grounded in genuine connection. Creating spaces where people feel at ease, supported, and inspired has always been at the heart of her retreats
The retreats combine English language learning with mindfulness practices, nature immersion, and a nurturing environment to help participants slow down, reconnect, and restore balance.
Whether through guided mindfulness, forest bathing, or simply holding space, our intention is to support each person in finding a deeper sense of well-being, clarity, and connection in a beautiful part of the world.
Daniel Browne brings years of experience in welcoming and leading international groups from all over the world, creating spaces where people feel at ease, connected, and inspired from the moment they arrive. With a natural gift for hospitality and group facilitation, he has supported a wide range of visitors through immersive cultural and learning experiences in Ireland.
Deeply rooted in a love of nature, Daniel has a particular passion for hiking, surfing and the outdoors. He sees time in nature as an essential part of personal well-being and growth and often integrates this into the experiences he leads, whether through coastal walks, mountain hikes, or quiet moments of reflection in the landscape.
As part of the retreat center at Donegal English Language School, Daniel plays a key role in shaping welcoming, grounded, and nature-connected experiences for groups seeking rest, learning, and renewal in the wild beauty of Donegal.
Details of this retreat
The English & Surf Immersion Programme is a dynamic coastal experience that combines practical English language use with the energy and adventure of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
Based at Donegal English Language School in Bundoran, one of Ireland’s most famous surf towns, this programme is designed for participants who want to improve their English naturally while fully engaging in an active, outdoor lifestyle.
English learning takes place in real-world contexts rather than traditional classroom settings. Through guided surf sessions, group interaction, coastal exploration, and daily shared experiences, participants build confidence, fluency, and communication skills in an authentic and enjoyable way.
Surfing is at the heart of the programme, with lessons led by experienced instructors on nearby beaches suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to those looking to refine their skills. Time in the water is balanced with relaxed group reflection, conversation sessions, and cultural exchange.
Participants benefit from:
Immersive English practice in everyday situations
Professional surf instruction on the Atlantic coast
A supportive, international group environment
Time outdoors in a powerful, natural setting
A fun, active approach to language learning
The English & Surf Immersion Programme is ideal for those seeking movement, challenge, connection, and a fresh way to learn English through experience, energy, and the sea.
