Earth Medicine Integration | Healing with Horses | Self-Mastery & Transformation Originally from South Africa, Sonette Hill brings together a lifetime connection with horses, extensive personal experience with Earth medicines, and a deep understanding of what it means to rebuild your life from the inside out. Before entering the healing space, Sonette spent more than two decades in the technology industry, founding and running a software localisation company and working internationally with major organizations. She was also a member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), living for many years in the fast-paced world of business, responsibility, family and entrepreneurship. Her own search for healing eventually took her in a completely different direction. After years of living with depression, trauma, PTSD and overwhelming stress, Sonette began exploring traditional Earth medicines and indigenous healing practices, including travelling to Peru to experience Shipibo traditions. Her journey ultimately led to extensive personal work with iboga. Sonette has undertaken more than 30 full-depth iboga journeys and has subsequently spent hundreds of hours learning from, sitting with and supporting others through Earth medicine experiences and their integration. For Sonette, this work is not theoretical. It comes from lived experience. Horses have been another constant throughout her life. Growing up with horses gave Sonette an intuitive understanding of their sensitivity, honesty and extraordinary ability to reflect what is happening within a human being. Today, she brings these two worlds together through Healing with Horses and Earth medicine integration. Sonette is particularly passionate about supporting women who have lost themselves within difficult, controlling or narcissistic relationship dynamics. She understands how sensitive, compassionate and deeply empathetic women can repeatedly place the needs of others before their own, gradually losing their boundaries, confidence and sense of sovereignty. Her work is not about teaching women to become harder. It is about helping them become sovereign. Through the wisdom of plants, the presence of horses, nature, integration and compassionate human connection, Sonette supports women in reconnecting with their intuition, recognizing unhealthy patterns, establishing boundaries and rediscovering their own voice. Highly intuitive, sensitive and compassionate herself, Sonette believes that sensitivity can become an extraordinary strength when it is accompanied by self-awareness, discernment and strong boundaries. Her philosophy is grounded in lived experience rather than promises of cures. She believes profound experiences with plants can open doors, but that lasting transformation requires integration, personal responsibility and learning how to live differently afterwards. ALEJANDRO GONZALES Wellness Coach | Holistic Massage Therapist | Plant & Traditional Healing Practitioner Originally from Argentina, Alejandro Gonzales brings an intuitive, holistic approach to bodywork and wellbeing, drawing on years of experience working with massage, medicinal plants, movement and traditional healing practices. His approach recognizes that the body often carries what the mind cannot easily express. Rather than applying the same massage technique to every person, Alejandro works intuitively with each individual, adapting his treatment according to what he feels and observes in the body. His massage and bodywork modalities include deep tissue massage, sports massage, therapeutic and relaxation massage, lymphatic techniques, cupping and wood therapy. Deep tissue massage works with the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue and can be particularly helpful for areas of chronic muscular tension and physical restriction. Sports massage is focused on the needs of an active body, helping to work with tight or overused muscles and supporting mobility, flexibility and physical recovery. Therapeutic massage combines different techniques according to the individual rather than following a predetermined routine. Alejandro may work more deeply in one area while using gentler, calming techniques elsewhere. Relaxation massage uses slower, flowing movements to encourage the body to soften, rest and move away from the constant stimulation of everyday life. Cupping uses specialized cups placed on the body to create suction. It is traditionally used as a bodywork technique to work with muscular tension and circulation. Wood therapy uses specially shaped wooden tools as an extension of the therapist's hands. The tools can be used rhythmically across different areas of the body as part of massage, muscular and body-contouring techniques. Alejandro's work also extends beyond massage. Over the years he has developed a close relationship with plants and traditional plant-based practices, with a particular interest in Mayan healing modalities and the ways indigenous traditions have incorporated plants, touch, nature and ritual into their approaches to wellbeing. This connection with plants complements his bodywork and his understanding that wellbeing involves far more than muscles alone. The physical body, nervous system, emotions, breath, movement, environment and state of mind are interconnected. At Revela Retreats, Alejandro's work forms part of a much broader transformational journey. He may support guests before or after deeper therapeutic experiences, during periods of rest and integration, or simply when the body needs grounding, nurturing and human touch. His work can be particularly valuable between plant medicine, psychotherapy and equine-assisted experiences, when guests are encouraged to slow down and allow the body and nervous system time to process. Alejandro also incorporates movement, breathwork and holistic wellness coaching, helping guests reconnect with their bodies and develop practices they can continue beyond the retreat. What makes his approach distinctive is his intuition. He listens not only to what a guest tells him, but also to what the body appears to be communicating. A session therefore evolves around the individual rather than being limited to one specific massage modality. At the heart of Alejandro's work is a simple philosophy: the body, plants and the natural world contain wisdom of their own. His role is to listen, work respectfully with that wisdom and create an environment in which the individual can rest, reconnect and restore.
