13-day San Pedro and Ayahuasca Plant Medicine Intensive, Aug. 13 – 25, 2017

About us

From August 13 until August 25, 2017 the Ayaruna Center (www.ayaruna.com) in association with Paz y Luz (www.pazyluzperu.com), ayahuasquero Javier Regueiro with Luz Maria Ampuero will be leading a 13-day sacred plant medicine retreats that include 2 San Pedro (Huachuma) and 3 Ayahuasca ceremonies as well as one day of activities which will include a formal opening of the retreat with a gentle rebirthing and guided meditation, a simple despacho (offering to the Earth) and lunch at El Huacatay restaurant in Urubamba..

Once again we will be creating a strong container where everybody can feel safe and empowered – this is not another exotic adventure but a coming home to oneself as all-that-you-are and all-that-you-can-be.

These retreats will begin with an introductory meeting on Sunday afternoon.

On Monday we shall have the formal opening of the retreat, the meditation, despacho and lunch in Urubamba.

On Tuesday there will be our first San Pedro ceremony.

Thursday, Saturday and the following Tuesday we will have 3 consecutive Ayahuasca ceremonies.

On the second Wednesday we will participate in a movement/dance meditation, and finally on Thursday we will have our last ceremony with San Pedro.

The morning after each ceremony we will also gather to process whatever needs to be processed from the previous ceremony.

Additional guidance will be available at all times during the week.

This kind of in-depth work is usually done in a secluded jungle setting and with a diet poor in rich or spicy foods. While you will be lodging at Paz Y Luz, it is important that during the retreat attendants limit social engagements and allow themselves the required quiet.

It is also important that participants refrain completely from recreational alcohol and drug use (this includes marijuana and caffeine) for at least two weeks before and after the ceremonies. This will greatly improve the quality of the experience for everyone involved. It is important to honour this requirement.

Both experienced and non-experienced people are invited to attend. All the necessary information and guidance on the use of this medicines will be given at the beginning of the experience.

Attendance to this event is limited to 9 people in order to allow each and every one to receive what they need.

Cost for the Ayahuasca/San Pedro retreats is 1300 U$ per person with single room occupancy, and 1200 U$ for double room occupancy.

This includes:

A formal opening of the retreat, meditation and despacho, lunch at El Huacatay restaurant in Urubamaba, plus the introductory talks on the medicines,

2 San Pedro ceremonies as well as the dinners thereafter,
