About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

Historically, it is the woman who is expected to make herself a "safe space" or a welcoming presence for the man. Here, however, it is the man who places his body, his aesthetic, and his presence at the service of female exploration, offering a backdrop of stability against which the woman can surrender to contemplation, direction, and visual play.
Man overturns his historical role, from "potential threat or element to be managed", into a vessel for female thoughts, fantasies, and explorations.

The man acts as a "safe space" precisely because he is a self-aware art subject/object; he ensures transparent boundaries and allows to explore eros and relationships roles without defenses or social constructs.

Conversation, journaling, and micro-reading reveal female erotic thought and give structure to the time spent together over these two days.

The female artist-facilitator legitimizes the exploration creating the alchemy, dismantling social conditioning and encouraging visual curiosity.
Visual art, photography, and instinctive drawing are all part of an exploratory process centered on the observed male figure, which acts as a mirror to the mental landscape.

Schedule

*Each guest will receive a specially created, tailor-made activity sheet based on their individual wishes and needs.*

Day 1:
- Introduction to the time we will spend together.
- Presentation of the activity program we have designed for each guest.
- Introduction and practical initial exploration activities, starting with the emotional aspect/inner dialogue and leading to a connection with the body.
- Lunch (on your own or all together, depending on your needs)

- The photographic medium: The camera becomes both a shield and a magnifying glass.
"Micro-Geography" exercise: The "Mirror Man" poses in semi-darkness or amidst sharp shafts of light. Observation, the role of power, writing, taking an image of a detail that matters. The approach to the phisical explorative time.
- An exploration of initial impressions upon approaching the activities, conducted through a series of dialogues and conversations designed to determine how and in what direction to continue the shared journey in subsequent activities.
- Aperitif and dinner (on your own or all together, depending on your needs)

Day 2:
- Walking and exploring the surrounding nature, swimming in the sea (if permitted by the season and location), and connecting the naked body with nature , disconnected from the social context.
- In-depth outdoor activities exploring desire, the relationship between the body and raw nature, and the mind-body connection.
- Lunch (on your own or all together, depending on your needs)
- Sensory and tactile activities involving the male body in connection with the concept of power and free will.
- Aperitif/dinner to unwind after the two days' activities, final thoughts, acknowledgments, and farewells.

An amazing exploration of creativity and authenticity
Lu and Nora's art therapy retreat was perfect for supporting and deepening my spiritual journey. Through an exploration of creativity and vulnerability, I was able to better connect with my authenticity. The activities and schedule were perfectly tailored and adapted, so our time together felt meaningful, organic and productive. I could not have hoped for more, thank you :)
